THE OPEN CLASSROOMThe evolution of the IT technolo-gies and the education system is leading to a destructed galaxy of opportunities, each student constructs knowledge based on his own experiences. every space can be became an opportunity to learn and share brilliant ideas.
The urban space has to adapt to accommodate a mixture of ser-vices and spaces able to promote the growth of knowledge within its own boundaries.
Melbourne knowledge city strategy accommodate a numer-ous strategic investments and ini-tiatives to engage with the educa-tional sphere and make it part of the citizen everyday life.

LIBRARYThe library will be the central node of the archiving system and main hb of the online network connecting with the international library network “ODL OPEN DIGITAL LIBRARY”. A dedicate app will allow students to connect with the local library system and have access to ODL.Internal building to be revised to accommodate the central server.

URBAN METABOLISM As part of the proposal, a set of urban design guidelines relating to buildings, streets and landscaped areas is pro-vided to ensure that delivery of the vi-sion is continued through to detailed design.
A set of actions has been developed to achieve the project’s objectives with the intent of maximising the perfor-mance of the urban elements in terms of natural and social services and amenities.
