Company brief

Business Automation Ltd. (Business Automation) is a software development company

established in 1998. Business Automation is registered as a private limited company with

Registrar of Joint Stock Companies Bangladesh in 1998. The company’s portfolio of services

includes enterprise application integration and implementation, enterprise information

technology (IT) solutions, offshore development service and technical support. It offers

services in the area of custom application development, service oriented architecture and

mobile application development. With its comprehensive understanding of diverse business

verticals and wide resources, Business Automation mobilizes the right people, skills, and

technologies to help organizations enhance its performance and transform cost burdens into

competitive business assets.

Since inception, Business Automation has always focused to provide solution to it’s

customers which will be effective with better return-on-investment. The company has been

pioneering in many areas in IT solutions in Bangladesh including software packing with call

accounting system, home grown IVR system, corporate messaging solutions, first

eGovernance solution etc. The company marked it’s achievement through receiving large

number of recognition from different organizations for it’s solutions. Business Automation is

an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company and certified by IT auditor on IS control.

Business Automation has been working in providing turn-key solutions as most of

enterprises and Government organizations require complete solution. The company has it’s

presence in software development, IT operation and management, data entry & scanning,

networking and hardware solutions, web development and maintenance, IT consultancy etc.

To cater the demand of the customers and providing the right solution platform, the company

Location and infrastructure of any company is important, particularly software companies are

more sensitive in this regard. Considering the importance of that, Business Automation has

established 3 offices. The main office including the development center in at central

commercial location of Dhaka, a support service stationed at Computer City at IDB Bhaban

and a recently opened a shared office in Singapore for sourcing in and out for our projects.

The main office with development center is at ICT Incubator, established by the Government

for the software companies with providing direct broadband Internet connectivity and

constant power supply. So, the company is getting major advantages to cater the needs of

our customers smoothly.

Management Background:

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder: Mr. Jahidul Hasan

Managing Director, CEO and Co-Founder of Business Automation He has done his

graduation from the University of Dhaka. He has also got management certifications from

Indian Institution of Management & University of Hong Kong. Jahidul Hasan has been

involved in various ICT development initiatives in Bangladesh. Before starting Business

Automation he served as IT consultants for several organizations including MNATRAD NV in

Belgium. After the venturing this company, he has been involved in designing solutions

pioneered in Bangladesh.

Jahidual Hasan in leading the Chair of e-Governance standing committee of Bangladesh

Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) and Bangladesh Computer

Samity (BCS). He was also Joint Secretary General of BASIS.

Director and Co-Founder: Mr. Shoeb Ahmed Masud

Shoeb Ahmed Masud has a passion in development of organizations and society through

the use of ICT. After graduation from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka

University, he has engaged in the stock market and later on formed the company “Business

Automation Ltd.” in 1998. The company has deployed number of solutions for Bangladesh

and overseas market and has received 10 national awards for software development.

Shoeb has contributed in the software industry on various capacities including the Secretary

General of BASIS (Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services) during

(2006 - 2008). He was a member of the technical committee for Simplification of Public Utility

Bill Payment System in 2006 & 2008 which has steered the process of payment settlement

in online by Bangladesh Bank for removing obstacle in e-commerce in Bangladesh. He has

also represented in various national committees for the development of ICT industry. He was

the Chairman of Infrastructure Standing Committee of BASIS.

Shoeb is also involved in social development activities. He was EC member of MBA Club

Limited and EC member of IBA Alumni Association. He runs several social development

organizations in his village. He has received “Achievement Award” for contribution for ICT

Industry by IBA Alumni Association in 2009.
