My role model is my mother, who passed away back in 1998 from breast cancer. I lost her when

I was 25 (she was 54), so I know how painful it was to lose her so soon, and I dont want to putmy sons through that when they are still young (they are in their early 20s). I want to eat

healthy, exercise, get enough sleep and enjoy life so I hopefully will have a better chance of

living longer and being around for my family. I look at her every day and say I can do this, foryou! ~Dawn Hughes, PrePrint

My fitness role model is my Grandmother, Letha. My Grandmother is 76 and has had two heartattacks, one of them requiring triple bypass surgery as well as carotid artery surgery. The reason

she is my role model is because knowing that I have a family history of heart problems, I want to

take steps now to prevent a scary future. I do not cook with Crisco (her staple) and instead usegrape seed oil, which is a much healthier alternative. I want to be on earth as long as possible to

be with my family and friends. ~Karen Alliet, Hartford

My fitness role model is my dear friend Lisa Hansen. She is the mother of 5 fantastic children.

She works full time and still manages to fit in working out and eating healthy every day. She

looks FANTASTIC!!! ~Debbie Boardman, Neenah Plant

My father motivates me. At age 47, he had Triple Bypass surgery. At that time, he changed his

diet. At age 75, he is still watching what he eats and exercising daily.~Brad Schultz, Folding Carton Group

My fitness Role model is Bruce Lee, he has been my role model since I was about 11 years old

and will probably be mine till I pass away. I remember as a child going to my Grandfathers andwatching Bruce Lee movies every chance I got. My Grandfather had cable at the time and we did

    not.

He inspired me to talk my parents into signing me up for karate classes, which made me

stronger, faster, and made me more confident as a child.

This has carried over into my adult life, and has helped me try to keep a healthy mindsetthroughout my adult life. I still work out at least 3 times a week and I feel I am still in pretty

good shape for my age. ~Kevin Sanderson, York

    ~ Craig Swartz, York
