Can you believe it is 2020? How time flies. First of all, I want to wel- come our 2020 Board of Directors and to thank them for their willing- ness to serve another year. You are the best! I hope that our new year finds you in good spirits with a fresh beginning. Not to get gloomy, but maybe our 2019 had some bumps, but let us think that we are stronger by our recoveries and in personal learning and growing. I am very sad when I think of illness issues and passings of some of our member families. Please pray for each other and for our world. We need to do our best to support each other in times of need. So, as we begin our new year, let me share with you what a great time BBC folks had at the OBX New Year’s Eve party. What has become a tradition, couples got together and went to Kitty Hawk, N.C. for anoth- er New Year celebration. The best part of the party was that we were all together and shared precious time. What a pleasure and how special even with less than 100% gusto, we reflected on each year, our friend- ships and our good times. We are truly blessed. As I write this the Mid-Winter SOS in N. Myrtle Beach is underway. While it is only 3 days it proves to be a winter get-a-way full of bands, DJ’s and dancing. It really does charge the energies. Those of us that do not get to go keep the home fires going. Yes, everyone has a job to do.:) The 2020 Va. Hall of Fame event is March 20-22 with dinner and dance on March 21 at the Conference Cen- ter of the Hospitality House, Freder- icksburg. Please see Audrey or Don to get tickets. We would like to have our BBC folks represented. We are lucky that it is in our home town again. It makes it more inviting for our local folks. I want to thank the Moose Lodge for allowing us to con- tinue to call it our home base. We have been there going on 3 years and they have been good to us. They have extended our nights to dance to include the extra 5 th Wednesdays . We are also discuss- ing other op- portunities with them to add to our dance nights. We want you to come and join us as of- ten as you can and work with the BBC to increase mem- bership and our activities. The Moose has also instituted a no smok- ing policy. So I hope you all are happy with that new development. Clean air is good. Our DJs are the best and our dance lessons offer new introductions to shag and continued foot work. Line dancing and free flow dancing also get folks on the floor. What a great night out! So, as you get into your winter, please put our dance night on your calendars. Join in the tasks to keep us going and help us plan for new and exciting activities for the BBC. We are inspired with our new year! Let the good times roll!
