II. Login

BayCare SSO

Note: BayCare SSO logs you into the

BayCare Community Application if you have access.

1. Click the BayCare SSO menu button on the Taskbar.

2. Select the Secure Texting option to launch the app.

BayCare Favorites 1. From the Internet Explorer browser window,

click the Favorites button.

2. Click the Secure Texting link located under

BayCare Links > Applications.

3. The login screen displays.

Enter your BayCare Username and Password.

4. Click the Login button to continue to the Dashboard.

I. Introduction The BayCare Community Desktop Web Application allows users to view on-call schedules, alerts and notifications,

as well as communicate with other users who are accessing the application through the BayCare Community Mobile

Application.

III. The Dashboard

Action Bar Use the following functions on the Action Bar to complete common actions:

1. Set Location - Displays the facility where you are located.

2. Set Presence - Change your availability status.

3. Chat Bubble - Check your messages.

4. Alerts - Check your alerts.

5. Notifications - Check responses to your events.

6. Settings - Access the Desktop Web Application settings.

7. Logout - Exit the Desktop Web Application.

Settings

1. Call Back Numbers - Set a default call back number to be included in every message you send.

Note: Nursing should not use this feature as numbers change frequently. Include your contact number

in body of your message.

2. My Settings - Edit your personal information.

Contacts The Contacts screen contains a searchable list of users in the current facility*, including their location, status, and

additional information about the user.

Note: The search function searches the Contact’s Dept/Practice,

Name, Doc Number and Office Phone fields.

Side Bar The Side Bar has shortcut links to access the Contacts screen

and the On Call schedule.

IV. Events Users can receive event invitations from this component. A user can RSVP to an event if the option is available for the event.

Event Invitations The Events page displays a list of all event invitations you have received.

Note: If an event is canceled, the word Canceled displays under the RSVP column. If the event has ended, the words Event Ended display under the RSVP column.

To access Event Invitations from the Dashboard:

Click the Events icon.

Or

Hover over the Bell icon and

select the Events option.

Event Notifications A NEW flag displays on the Bell icon and next to the

Events option under the icon. A NEW flag also displays next to the new event in the list.

Note: Navigating away from the page marks all events as read.

RSVP to an Event You can select an RSVP option for an event, and it can be changed until the event has ended.

1. From the Dashboard, click on Events.

2. Select an option from the drop-down displayed next to the event.

V. Alerts Users can receive Alerts.

Check Alerts A list of all the alerts you have received displays on the Alerts screen.

To access Alerts from the Dashboard:

Click either Alerts icon:

Alert Notifications A NEW flag displays: On the Alert icon. Next to a new alert in the list.

Note: Navigating away from the page marks all alerts as read.

Display On-call List

From the Dashboard, click On-call.

VI. On-call Users can view who is currently on-call for a specific schedule (e.g., Cardiology) in your location.

Contact the Person On-call

1. From the Dashboard, click On-call.

2. Click the Message bubble icon next to the user.

3. Type a message.

4. Click the SEND button.

Note: A Message bubble displays for Active users only. Sent messages can be

viewed under Secure Text > Recents tab.

View the Contact Information of the Current On-call User

1. From the Dashboard, click On Call.

2. Click the Information icon next to the user.

The Contact Details display.

User Availability Status Message If set, the Availability Status Message displays below the user’s name. If the message is too long, it is truncated. Click on it to view the complete status message.

VII. Doctor Connect Users can navigate to Doctor Connect by clicking the Doctor Connect icon from the Dashboard.

VIII. Results (Feature Coming Soon) Users will be able to receive Results.

Check Results

1. From the Dashboard, click Results.

Or

1. Hover over the Bell icon and

select the Results option.

2. Click the patient name to display the results.

Notifications for Results A NEW flag displays on the Bell icon.

A red number displays next to the Results option.

The number of unread results display in red next to the patient’s name on the Results page.

Once you select a patient’s name, all unread results for that patient are marked as read.

Providers/Care Team members can communicate with each other regarding a patient they are assigned. It is similar to a group chat; the name of the thread is the Patient’s Name.

Patient List Users can view all their patients in the My Patients tab. From the Dashboard, click the

Patients button.

Patients assigned to a user’s department/practice group are listed under the All Patients tab. Only physicians (e.g., MD, DO, DDS, DMD, DPM,MBBS) can view the patients assigned to their group.

Communicate About a Patient Users can communicate about a patient assigned to them or assigned to their department/practice group. If a user is communicating about a patient assigned to their department/practice group (All Patients tab), they are

then added to the care team of that patient.

IX. Secure Text

Secure Texting Secure Texting on the BayCare Community Desktop Web Application is the primary method for

communication on desktop computers. Secure Texting is intended to help communicate messages

such as shift coverage, patient updates, and other simple convenience communications.

Add/Remove Care Team Members The ability to add and remove care team members in the Desktop Web Application will be available in the future.

1. From the Dashboard, click the Patients button.

2. Select the My Patients tab.

Note: Users can initiate a conversation about

every patient by selecting the All Patients tab instead.

3. Click the icon.

View Messages in a Patient-Centric Chat User’s new/recent patient-centric chat messages display under the Secure Texting component.

the Secure Text button.

2. Select the Recents tab.
