    Dea r Ch ri st ia n F r iends :

    God

    has certainly

blessed us in every way While in th e United States we have had many opportunit ies to work

fo r th e Kingdom of Christ

    fo r

which we thank Him. This year at Ozark Bible College has apparently been fruitful

in several ways . We have a number of recruits preparing to go

    to

    Brazd. We have seen

    the equipment for

    setting

    up a

    print shop

    in Brazil purchased shipped

    an d

    arrived there

    There

    has been great fellowship

    with

    old friends

and with new ones We hope

    the year spent

at Ozark Bible College has been helpful to

    the

    Cause

    of

    Christ

The print shop is being set up now in Belem. We hope that before long it will be in operation

    to turn out

    Bible

    Correspondence Lessons tracts pamphlets

    and booklets

    besides

    other

    needs

    of th e

    churches This is no

    compe

    tition with the joint printing

    operation

of all of ou r missionaries in central Brazil called APLIC to which we

    contribute This association fo r

    printing

    Christian

    literature

    turns out Bible School material

    tracts and books

In less than a month the Lord willing we will be back in Brazil. We are very anxious to be back there. We are

    to

leave Joplin Missouri at 11:30 a.m. on

    June

    5 and leave Miami at 8 p.m.

    the

same day to arrive in Belem

    about

    3 a.m.

    on

June 6. Dale Mason and family and Norman

    Maddux

and family have been taking care of ou r house

for us and we expect it to be ready

    to

move into when we get there.

    well as w e can

    tell

    by l et te rs w e

    have received

    from

    missionaries

    an d

    Brazilian Christians the

    churches are making

    good progress.

    The

    Outeiro Road Church which we

    left

under the direction of its elders has

    continued

    to grow

    and has an attendance now

    of

about 80. There are about fourteen churches and preaching points now. As late as

    three years ago there

    were only four churches

    and

    one

    preaching

    point

    Nearly all of

    them are maintained

    by

    Brazil ians

One blessing provided through yo u friends in Christ

    has been

    that our support

    has

    continued

    and

    th e salary i

    received

    from

Ozark Bible College has been turned back into the mission

    fund

    and used to purchase a

    Jeep sta tion

    ^jvagen4n Bra7 il. This came

    within

a few hundred dollars of the 3600 which the car

    cost.

    We hope it will be^[e^^

    ^nvered

    bythe

    time

    we

    arrive

    being

    shipped

    from the

    factory

    in

    southern

    Brazil.

    Joanne

    spoke

    fluent Portuguese

    before

    we came but

    now knows

none at all. She is four yea rs old . Paul is

    two

    He

    is

    fluent

    in English. We

    expect

them to learn Portuguese in a few

    months They

    have

    Our

    plan is

    to work with

the churches training leaders and preaching in special services such as revivals.

    In

    this

    work^e

    hope

to make intensive use of Bible Correspondence courses and follow these up with personal visitation

    and teaching. We

    hope

and plan to eventually enlist many Brazilian Christians in this also.

We thank God for providing through you who support this work we are engaged in all

    that

    we have needed. We

have never lacked anything necessary for the work

    of

the Gospel. Right now we aje praying for a couple

    of

    hundred

    dollars more per

    month

to use in radio and newspaper work for the faster spread

    of

    Bible teaching.
