HELEN EVANSDr. Helen C. Evans is the Mary and Michael Jaharis Curator of Byzantine Art in the Department of Medieval Art and The Cloisters at The Met. Her exhibitions—including Armenia! (2018), Byzantium and Islam (2012), Byzantium: Faith and Power (2004), and The Glory of Byzantium (1997)—have explored the importance of Byzantine art and its connections beyond its borders. She has previously lectured on seven Travel with The Met journeys.

SEÁN HEMINGWAYSeán Hemingway is the John A. and Carole O. Moran Curator in Charge of the Department of Greek and Roman Art. He has a particular specialty in Greek and Roman bronzes. A seasoned archaeologist, Seán has excavated prehistoric, classical, and Roman sites in Greece and Spain. He received his doctorate from Bryn Mawr College, studied at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens as a Fulbright Scholar, and has been a visiting curator at the American Academy in Rome.

ALYCE PERRY ENGLUNDAlyce Perry Englund is an Associate Curator in The Met’s American Wing specializing in American Decorative Ars. She joined The Met in 2015, and oversees the American Wing’s prestigious collection of 17th- to early 19th-century furniture. She received her M.A. from the renowned Winterthur Program in American Material Culture, a B.A. in Art History from the University of Vermont, and is an alumna of The Attingham Study Programme. Most recently, she curated Simple Gifts: Shaker at the Met (2016–17) and co-curated Chippendale’s Director: The Designs and Legacy of a Furniture Maker (2018–2019).

KEITH CHRISTIANSEN Dr. Keith Christiansen is the John Pope-Hennessy Chairman of the Department of European Paintings. He began working at The Met in 1977 and has since organized numerous exhibitions. Dr. Christiansen has written widely on Italian painting and is the recipient of several awards, including a Fulbright Grant, the Mitchell Prize, the Arthur Kingsley Porter Prize, and the Alfred H. Barr, Jr. Award

COURTNEY ANN STEWART Courtney Ann Stewart joined The Met in 2010 and serves as Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Islamic Art. She has contributed to the reinstallation of the new galleries of the Arab Lands, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia, and Later South Asia (2011), as well as the exhibitions and publications Treasures from India: Jewels from the AlThani Collection (2014) and Sultans of Deccan India, 1500-1700: Opulence and Fantasy (2015). She has served as Travel with The Met lecturer on three journeys to the Middle East and North Africa.
