Self-paced online coursesOur self-paced e-learning courses can be used for basic learning, or to reinforce or refresh what you learned in class, where and when it’s convenient. Representative self-paced online courses include Introduction to Flow Cytometry, along with software and system overviews. Continuing education units are available as contact hours.
Operator training at BD’s training center in San Jose, CA Attend training at BD’s state-of-the-art training center to gain practical skills and knowledge from instructors with years of flow cytometry expertise, in an environment free from the distractions of your daily job. Get plenty of hands-on practice and share experience and knowledge with fellow flow cytometry professionals, to give you the confidence and skills to successfully execute your experiments when you return to your lab.

Combining years of collective knowledge with diverse research and clinical laboratory experience, the BD Biosciences application support team provides timely, professional telephone support. Advanced topics workshopsWorkshops are focused on advanced flow cytometry topics to increase your knowledge in areas relevant to your interests. These workshops provide you with hands-on practice to grow your skills as your flow cytometry application needs change and your experiments increase in complexity. For example, take the Multicolor Flow Cytometry course to master the skills necessary to design and run your complex multicolor panels.
Take the Art of Sorting course to learn strategies you can use to improve sort efficiencies and to expand your knowledge about small and large particle sorting, sorting rare populations, index sorting, and calculating predicted yield and efficiency using Poisson statistics.
Virtual classroom courses In virtual classroom training, an instructor delivers course information through a web conferencing application, and students perform hands-on exercises. The virtual classroom allows you to take a course from anywhere, without the time and expense of travel. The only equipment you need is a computer with an internet connection, and a phone. For example, take the Optimizing Sort Efficiency course to examine the priorities of a sort and better understand how decisions related to them affect sort outcomes.
Remote consulting servicesGet specific training and analysis needs addressed through online sessions with an expert from BD Biosciences. Pre-establish specific training topics and the number of hours you want included in each session. We can also help with your data analysis and panel design needs, such as analysis of BD™ Cytometric Bead Array in FCAP Array™ software and panel design for complex multicolor research applications.
