1 1. INTRODUCTION: The Biogas Development and Training Centre (BDTC), Indore under the auspicious of Centre of Energy Studies & Research, Devi Ahilya University, Indore, MP was established as a Technical Back –Up Unit for biogas under the “National Biogas and Manure Management Program” by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, New Delhi, in the year 2001-2002. The Biogas Development and Training Centre, Indore was carried out the assigned work from MNRE in two states i.e. Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh from the inception of the BDTC, but in the current year the state of Maharashtra is also introduced by the MNRE to provide our services. 2. Objectives of the Program: 1. 1. INTRODUCTION:

2. Objectives of the Program:

1. To provide efficient technology to the nodal departments of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh

and Maharashtra for implementing the biogas program in shortest possible time.

2. To identify biogas extension centers including development and establishment, conducting

training programs for their staff and reviewing the program from time to time.

3. To conduct surveys of at least 1000 plants in consultation with nodal departments and

organization on regional basis so that the methods could be suggested for their repair.

4. BDTC provides help in biogas techniques and implementation work in the other states

including MP, CG and Maharshtra.

5. To review the extension materials developed and select the same for motivating the

proponents by working as clearing house.

6. To know the view of users with respect to different models of biogas plants and use of

slurry by examining the same.

7. To conduct the program suggested by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and the

The following agendas were circulated to the all members for discussion and decisions. Agenda No. I: Review of the Progress Report of BDTC for the previous year 2013-14. Decision: PI, Dr S P Singh presented the report of previous year 2013-14. A copy of Final report already sent to the MNRE. All the members appreciated unanimously the work carried out by the BDTC, Indore. Agenda No. II: Distribution of Training Programs allocated by the MNRE to the agencies for the year 2014-15 as well as a demand of additional support by the BDTC to the agencies for the targets allocated them particularly in CCM Training. Decision: Members suggested and distributed the trainings according to their requirement. Details for the same are given in table 4 to 4.4. Item No. III: District wise identification of venues should be confirmed from the related agencies for conducting the different training programs and physical verification of plants installed in last three year. Decision: Members selected the particular venue according to their requirement. Details for the same are given in table 4 to 4.4. Item No. IV: Identity Card should be issue to the beneficiaries. Decision: An outline for the same was enclosed with the members to implement in the field. Item No. V: Any other item with the permission of chair. Members gave their thanks to the chair.

5.1 Construction cum Maintenance Training:

Theory class for Trainees of CCM Training 5.2 Turnkey Workers Training:

Allocated target was 02 for the current year to the BDTC, Indore. MPAgro, and CREDA Chhattisgarh sent

their candidate in the program as usual. Both the programs are conducted simultaneously.

The trainings were mainly concluded are as under.

5.4 Users Training:

Allocated target was 80 for the current year 2014-15 to the BDTC, Indore. Maximum course are

compelled with physical verification work of biogas plants in all three state while others are conducted along

with CCM Trainings. Few of the courses conducted for higher Secondary school children in the state MP,

CG and Maharashtra also.

5.5 Feed Back survey: A target of physical verification cum feedback survey of 1000 Biogas Plants are fixed for the BDTC by the MNRE under NBMMP in the successive year. The survey work carried out in the following respective districts i.e. Ratlam, Vidisha in MP, Mahasamund in Chhattisgarh and Kolhapur from Chhatishgarh.

6.2 Staff Training CREDA: Two staff Trainings was conducted by BDTC at Indore from 30.07.14 to 06.08.14 for first batch and from 07.08.14 to 14.08.14 for 10 and 11candidates respectively. All candidates were from different responsibilities in CREDA and those are recently joined for the post against Assistant Engineers in different stream.

6.3 Inspection of Seven “Biogas based Power Generation System” based on ( File No 25-16(b) /2010- BE, Dated 10-02-2011, and File No 25-16(b) /2010- BE, Dated 17-04-2014) sanctioned in the state of Maharastra and the report had been sent to the MNRE.
