International training course on initiation and management of quality youth projects with a special focus on

Eastern Partnership

(January 2014, Lille Region, Northern France)

Main topic of the content

The main aim of this training course is to promote and foster European Citizenship, employability,

volunteering and active participation through providing participants with competences in the field of

project management in order to enable them to create quality youth projects and in this way to foster the youth

employability within their local communities. The lateral objectives of this training course are to enhance the

personal and professional development of the participants, so that they act as multipliers of the gained knowledge

within their organizations and their local communities.

Main Objectives:

To develop a common understanding about the concept of European Citizenship and to explore

To empower youngsters, especially those with fewer opportunities to act as multipliers in the fields of

European Citizenship and youth participation in their local communities To build up competences of participants in the field of project management in order to ensure the

quality impact and sustainability of youth projects

Lateral objectives:

Exploration of concept of employability through youth work or how “to become a multiplier”

Exchange of project ideas, building up future projects and partnerships and exchange of best practices in youth work

with a special focus on East-West cooperation

Working methodology:

The program activities will be based on non formal education, learning-by-doing methods and intercultural

dialogue and communication. The training course will stimulate creativity, active participation, and sense of

initiative and involvement of the young people in society. For the achievement of the learning objectives a variety

of interactive working methods such as workshops, role-plays, outdoor activities and plenary discussions will be

used, according to the specific learning needs of the participants and their organizations, in order to cover all

aspects of the project themes.

The partners we are looking for:

All partner organizations in this training course should be youth non-profit organizations that promote and share

European Values.

If your organization is situated in any of the Youth in Action Program countries or EECA Region this training course

is for you!!!

The Participants we will be looking for:

Participants in this training course should be actively involved in the organisation which they represent and fully

able to communicate in English. The selected participants will commit themselves to follow up the outcomes of this

training course in their organisation and within their local communities through active youth work.

Financial Aspects

The training course is scheduled to take place in January 2014 in Lille Region, Northern France. Financial

support will be requested at the French National Agency for the “Youth in Action” Program (Action 3.1.2). If the

project proposal gets approved, “Histoire de Savoirs” NGO will offer the following conditions:

The travel costs from your home town to the venue will be covered at 70%.

Board, lodging, local transports and all materials of the training course will be covered by “Histoire de

Savoirs” NGO.

The participants should arrange their own insurance for their travel and stay in France.

A participation fee of 50 Euros is required by each participant

Please NOTE that:

The project team is looking forward to receive your registration forms for partnership!! Please the last

deadline to apply is the 20th of April 2013. After this deadline the project team will not consider

anymore your application. The selected partner organizations will be notified by the 22nd of April 2013,

so that they could send the Official partnership agreement for the project application. The project team

will get in touch with each selected organization personally!
