• 1 pair each 3.25mm (UK 10) and 4.00mm (UK 8) knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension.

• wool needle for sewing seam.• pom pon maker or piece of cardboard (Style H

TENSIONThese Beanies have been designed at a tension of 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.To work a tension square, using 4.00mm needles, cast on 33 sts. Work 42 rows stocking st. Cast off loosely. Check your tension carefully. If less sts to 10cm use smaller needles, if more sts use bigger needles.

STYLES F1 - F5Follow basic beanie pattern using these colours –Cast on using Colour 1.Rib Band –Work in Colour 1. Stocking St and Crown –Using 4.00mm needles for rem, work 4 rows Colour 1.Change to Colour 2 for 3.5 (4-4.5) cm.Change to Colour 3 for 3.5 (4-4.5) cm.Change to Colour 4 for 3.5 (4-4.5) cm.Change to Colour 5 for rem.

TO MAKE UPNOTE – We recommend using mattress stitch to sew up your beanie.With a slightly damp cloth and warm iron, press lightly on wrong side, avoiding rib band. Join side edges to form back seam. Style H only – Using Colour 1 and a large pom pon maker or two circles of cardboard 12cm in diameter with a 3cm hole, make a pom pon and attach securely to crown.
