BEAR CREEK NEWSLETTER

FEBRUARY 2018

Parent Resource Center: Summer Break REGISTRATION for summer and

next fall opens soon!!!!

It might still be cold outside, but its time to start thinking about flip flops, sunscreen and … summer camp! Here are some common questions we get from parents:

Where will camp be held?

Our summer program will be held at South Lakewood Elementary. 8425 W. 1st Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226

When can I register?

Registration for both Summer Camp and the new school year will open in February. The registration forms will be posted to our website: http://www.rrcc.edu/school-age-childcare/registration-forms

Do my children automatically have a spot since they were enrolled for the school year?

Registration for this summer and school year is completely separate from the current school year so all families need to submit a registration form. Our currently enrolled families have priority access, however at some point we do open registration up to everyone.

Spots fill up fast so we encourage you to sign up as soon as you can!

Do I have to sign-up for every day?

No! When you register you select which days you need care to customize the schedule based around your family’s needs and preferences.

What will my kids do at camp?

We have the same high-quality programming during the summer as the school-year including a choice based schedule that incorporates STEAM projects, organized gym games, time to play outside as well as extras like wheels days and water days! We also go on field trips every Monday and Wednesday, and to the pool on Friday.

Full Day / Early Release Registration Clarification

We do offer care over breaks and early release days. These days are outside of your regular contract so you must sign-up for them separately. Sign-ups are due two weeks in advance to secure the regular rate. Sign-up after that point is subject to the drop-in rate. There are two steps to register:

1. Fill out the registration form to let us know that you are requesting care. Without this we cannot register your child, even if you make a payment towards that day. https://rrcc.formstack.com/forms/sacc_early_release_full_day_school_break

2. Make the required payment through CashNet, just like you do for tuition.

You can verify that your registration was processed by checking the print out on the parent table or asking a staff member.

Drop-In Registration Clarification Please register for drop-in care at least 24 hours prior to the requested date by submitting the drop-in form: https://rrcc.formstack.com/forms/sacc_drop_in Please note that due to licensing requirements for staffing and ratio we cannot guarantee that we can accept drop-ins. Our Accounting department will respond to your request to let you know if you can drop-in. If we have to deny your request your payment can either be applied to your next tuition bill or refunded.
