President of the National Honor Society, Charles “Kiki” Crawford is drum major for the Brewer marching band. A member of the school’s UIL science team, Crawford advanced to the State UL Science Competition last year and the regional competition the last two years. An avid musician, Crawford played alto saxophone in the wind symphony and trombone for the jazz band. A member of the Texas Future Music Educators, Crawford advanced to the State Solo and Ensemble Contest, and he was selected to the All-Region and All-Area Bands. He also plays bass clarinet and bass guitar, and he performed with the Pit Orchestra during Brewer High School theatre productions. The son of David Crawford and Mimi Coffey and grandson of Emiko Coffey, Crawford is also a member of the varsity tennis team. He plans to attend the University of Texas and major in biology.
