    MS Project White Paper 2013

    1. Introduction

This module combines be.as APS with the MS Project features. It supports manufacturing

companies, which also require a more complex project scheduling. The module can be

used both online and offline. Offline mode: the project planner loads data in MS Project

and modifies it locally on his PC or together with the customer at his site.

    Two business processes are supported:

    a) be.as APS scheduling results are transferred to MS Project

The project planner can define additional activities or resources in MS Project and link

them to manufacturing activities. He gets an overview on all manufacturing dates and

other activities as milestones. No data is transferred from MS Project to be.as

manufacturing. Work order objects are not modified, but information from MS Project is

    saved in additional fields.

    b) MS Project scheduling results are transferred to be.as manufacturing

Objects from MS Project (project-specific activities/resources) are saved in additional

tables. They serve as basis for import to MS Project.

As above, the project planner can define additional activities or resources in MS Project

and link them to manufacturing activities. He gets an overview on all manufacturing dates

and other activities as milestones. But now, results are transferred back to be.as and will

be considered in MRP, time receipts etc.

Work order objects are modified, information from MS Project is saved in additional

    fields.

Objects from MS Project (project-specific activities/resources) are saved in additional

tables. They serve as basis for import to MS Project.
