Whenever someone asks how the chung shi brand came about,
I have to admit to a very simple reason behind my desire to de-
velop a lifestyle and wellness brand based on Eastern methods
of healing. The motivation was my own health! Through many
years of favouring certain muscles in my body I had, like many
people, precipitated an imbalance. It was during business trips
to Asia that I discovered Far Eastern methods of gentle exer-
cise. I was enthused with the simple idea of doing something
for one’s health every day, as is the custom in that part of the
world. I was certain that my next step would be to share this
idea with others.

been the common complaints of our times. It is time to look

is good for you. So it is likely that problems are caused by our
shoes. Lack of true movement, hard walking surfaces and overly

7 questionsWhy do you train so many muscles with the AuBioMo® shoes? The angle in the heel and in the toe part in combination with the mid-part inte-grated roll resistance forces the wearer to walk automatically biomechanically correct. This tones muscles you haven’t used yet.

Is walking in these shoes more exhausting than with ordinary shoes?

When walking barefoot, the body experiences a certain natural
instability which forces the muscles to work a little harder. This
has several positive effects on our physique. The Anti Step sys-
tem simulates barefoot walking to produce the same positive
effects: its combined features result in a piece of training equip-

the muscles producing a harmonious movement that is at once

The AuBioMo® system is unique in promoting fluidity of movement, part
of which is the natural rolling motion of the foot. Muscles are activated
and strengthened and this reduces strain on the ankle and knee joints.
The angled toe and heel areas of the sole (15° for the Comfort Step and
20° for the Balance Step), combined with a centre rocker bar induce a
correct and entirely natural biomechanical gait from the very first step.
The separate motions within the gait become noticeable, without being
uncomfortable. The wearer of the AuBioMo® shoe benefits from a lasting
consciousness of the way he or she walks, and improved posture. The
name given to the shoe’s ability to prevent poor posture and bad wal-

Through lack of movement – especially the right sort of move-
ment - the muscles in our feet can wither. Our feet become stiff.
As the movement is carried from the toes upwards, stiff feet will
have a negative effect on the rest of the body. The Duxfree sys-
tem is characterised by deep grooves and subdivisions in the
sole, which allow the foot unrestricted movement. At the same
time, the segmented sole acts as a cushion against jarring im-
pacts. The flexibility of the shoe forces the muscles of the feet to
find the stability required for walking, which in turn strengthens
them. Ordinary everyday wear of the Duxfree system delivers
excellent toning and strengthening of the muscles of the feet –
without conscious effort!

In September 2008 chung shi started a long-term cooperative partnership with the Help Organization EIN HERZ FÜR KINDER – BILD hilft e.V.*The patrons for this cooperation are Rosi Mittermaier und Christian Neureuther. chung shi involved itself with all its colleagues, trade partners,customers and friends of the brand chung shi in this project. In this way, it hopes to make a contribution towards improving the lives of the weakest in our society.
It has also been the winsome skicouple who presented already in december 2008 at a television live gala, a cheque in the amount of 100.000 Euro to the childrens organisation.
