The new generation of ultra-compact IPCs

The new series of ultra-compact Industrial PCs that was launched with the C6015 has been highly successfully positioned in the mar-

ket because of its flexible application possibilities. With the addition of the C6030 ultra-compact Industrial PC, the many benefits of the series such as low space requirements, universal applicability for almost any automation and visualisation task as well as flexible installation are also available for complex applications with the highest performance requirements. As the latest addition to the product family, the C6017 multi-core device offers further optional interfaces (up to 2 x RJ45, 2 x USB 2.0), an optional 1-second UPS, or a combination of additional interfaces and UPS, all in a housing that still measures only 82 x 82 x 66 millimeters.

CX8100 | More computing power for small controllers

Beckhoff supports a multitude of bus systems and offers an unequalled level of openness in the market segment of compact controllers. The CX8100 series of Embedded PCs is an advance-ment of the CX8000 series featuring a faster CPU, TwinCAT 3, and significantly expanded main memory.

The EL922x electronic overcurrent protection terminals feed 24 V DC into the EtherCAT Terminal system with electronic

protection. They combine overcurrent protection, EtherCAT technology and power supply directly in the I/O system. The advantage: During installation, there is no need for protection products from the mains supply. In addition, the terminals protect the downstream devices from overcurrent even if the EtherCAT communication fails.

EtherCAT measurement modules – extremely accurate, fast and robust.

With the new device series for high-end measurement technology, ultra precise,

fast and robust measurement modules will become an even more integrated part of PC-based control solutions. The new EtherCAT measurement modules can be directly integrated into the modular EtherCAT communication sys-tem and combined with the extensive portfolio of more than 500 other EtherCAT Terminals. New metal housings optimise shielding and cooling in measurement technology applications.

Easily connecting EtherCAT with TSN networks The EK1000 Coupler connects EtherCAT and TSN networks and combines the advantages of both technologies:

� Support for TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) communication with the wide EtherCAT I/O spectrum

� Support for EtherCAT communication in switched standard Ethernet networks

� Expansion of the TwinCAT automation software with a TSN-compatible version of EtherCAT communication

As a result, the proven EtherCAT features such as distributed clocks and XFC are also available in TSN, and EtherCAT-capable drives can be connected that do not have their own TSN interface. The real-time capable single-device level of EtherCAT combines the numerous small data packets of digital and analog inputs that are typical for industrial environments into a complete process image. At the switch level, TSN defines the physical transport layer, and as a real-time extension of Ethernet, it controls the transport of any Ethernet telegrams through a TSN-enabled, switched network.TSN networks can also be seamlessly managed with TwinCAT and distributed EtherCAT devices can be addressed via a TSN network in real-time.

Product range of TwinSAFE SC continuously being expanded

With the aid of the TwinSAFE SC technology it is possible to make use of standard signals for safety tasks in any network or field-bus. To do this, EtherCAT I/Os are extended by the TwinSAFE SC function. The data from these extended EtherCAT I/Os is fed to the TwinSAFE Logic, where they undergo safety-related multi-channel processing. The TwinSAFE SC technology opens up completely new possibilities in the Beckhoff system world and offers a simple, effi-cient and inexpensive possibility to fully integrate safety tasks into the existing infrastructure. Compact drive technology: High servo performance in the I/O system The EJ7211-9414 servomotor module with OCT, STO and TwinSAFE SC technology offers high servo performance for the AM8100 motor series up to 4.5 A (Irms). The One Cable Technology (OCT) combines motor cable and feedback cable for an absolute feedback system in a single line. The EP7211-9034 servo box, which also features OCT and STO, brings high servo performance directly into the field in a compact design.

For servomotors up to 4.5 A (Irms), the EtherCAT Box is the ideal drive solution for fast and highly dynamic positioning tasks in IP 67 environ-ments. It safeguards the system operation through numerous monitor-ing functions. The EL7411-9014 offers high control performance in a very compact design for the medium power range of BLDC motors. Due to the fast control technology and the connection of an incremental encoder, very high speed profiles and dynamic positioning tasks can both be implemented.

The EL7047-9014 stepper motor terminal makes it possible to imple-ment Safe Torque Off (STO) functions for a safety level that complies with Cat. 3 PL d according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1:2015.

Ultra-compact servo solutions with resolver feedback

The AM8111 and AM8112 servomotors in the voltage range below 50 V DC are now available with an optional robust resolver encoder. In combination with the EL72x1-0000 servo terminals for resolver feedback, highly dynamic applications can be implemented in an extremely cost-effective way: . power range: 50 to 100 watts . usable speed: 4,000 min-1 . low rotor inertia . connector can be rotated 305 degrees for use in tight spacesAnother product introduction, the new AM8121-0F00-9000, is a special flange- and shaft-compatible version to support Asian flange geometries. All motors are available with a feather key groove or an optional zero-backlash permanent magnet holding brake. AMP8000: Distributed Servo Drive system

The AMP8000 distributed servo drive system opens up new possibilities for modular machine concepts, because it inte-grates the drive directly into the motor in a very compact design. By relocating the power electronics to the machine, the control cabinet needs to house only a single coupling module that supplies multiple distributed servo drives with a single cable via a distribution module. This produces significant savings in terms of material, space, cost, and installation effort.

With the new generation of safety controllers based on the EL6910, Beckhoff ushers in a new era in safety tech-

nology by further expanding the concept of modularity within the TwinSAFE system. Apart from adding functionalities for the highly granular and flexible modularisation of each safety project in order to optimally meet the respective safety requirements, Beckhoff enables all new safe I/O modules to directly execute customer-specific safety projects, including communication with multiple devices.
