Religion is part of everything, RCC helps you talk about it.

The Religion Communicators Council (RCC), founded in 1929, is an interfaith association of professionals in faith-based communications and related fields.

Many members are employed by faith-based or interfaith organizations and exhibit some level of commitment to advancing understanding about faith and religion as part of our work

Some examples of the areas in which RCC members are engaged include: communications, advertising, marketing, public relations, development, fundrais-ing, photography, publishing, strategy and disaster relief.

RCC is dedicated to promoting excel-lence in communicating faith and reli-gion in the religious and secular media, as well as providing networking and educational opportunities that enable members to improve skills and grow professionally.

There are two member types: Mem-bers-at-large and local chapter mem-bers. All RCC members have access to networking with the RCC member base, but local chapters have the opportunity to meet at regular meetings in cities across the country.

Current Focus: Religious Literacy among both faith-based and secular communicators. Religious literacy is the understanding of:

1) The basic tenets of the world’s faiths;

2) The diversity of expressions and beliefs within traditions that emerge and evolve in relation to differing social/historical contexts; and

3) The profound role that religion play in human social, cultural, and political life in both contemporary and historical contexts.
