witCHes, goBlins, vampires and friends—Happy Hill-O-Ween and welcome to our 10th annual Halloween-themed fundraiser! You are here tonight in support of Hill House, and for that, we are grateful. Hill House Directors and staff are so excited to celebrate Hill-O-Ween’s 10th anniversary, and we are honored to have you here with us. This event, much like the community center it benefits, is a community effort.

Since 2003, Hill-O-Ween has raised over $1.1 million, each penny ensuring we are able to remain your backyard in the city.

As you celebrate, please consider 10 details about this evening:

1. It took a team of dedicated committee members, led by Co-Chairs Susan Jefferson Boney, Hope Foley and Lorelei Skillman to make tonight possible.

2. Hill House administrative staff have all contributed to this event’s execution and preliminary success—though none exerted as much creativity, energy and thoughtfulness as our Development Associate Dianne Powers.

3. We have carefully chosen 34 silent auction items, among them many exciting prizes and unique opportunities. Start bidding early!

4. Our live auction is the highlight of the evening—something you do not want to miss!

5. A portion of the money that you donate tonight will contribute to this year’s $45,000 scholarship fund.

6. Each penny you bid, paddle you raise and wish you grant will allow us to grow our programs—delivering top-quality classes, competitive athletics and community events to as many children and families as possible.

7. The Beehive (owned by a Hill House family!) has been a wonderful partner and the perfect venue for Hill-O-Ween. We thank the Beehive team for their support!

8. Canary, our band tonight, is well-acquainted with Hill House. Their lead singer, Amy, is the former nanny of a Hill House family!

9. Tonight’s bar is…open! Please drink responsibly and enjoy!

10. Last, but certainly not least, thank you for the support that you have already shown in purchasing tickets and sponsorship packages.

We are so lucky to have neighbors like you.

See you on the dance floor!
