    Design process

SolidWorksModel treated only the 3D modeling process of a chopper. But when you

create a design its important to make some hand sketches first. You could use thesehand sketches as under-layer in SolidWorks or just use them to strengthen your own

    visual imagination about a design.

There are a number of well known and not so well known steps and techniques that

a designer can employ to make them a better sketcher. One important tip when

sketching is to let go of your controlling conscious mind.

Sketches are generally used as a way to generate ideas and record images for later

use. Although some sketches have been sold for a lot of money, this is normally when

an designer is so well known that even their rough ideas command a great price. A

sketch can be done in almost any media, however it normally refers to a dry media

such as a pencil. There are many things you can do as a designer to help you to

    create the best sketches possible.

It is always a good idea to find yourself a good comfortable position in a nice quiet

location, somewhere you can let yourself go. Make sure that your tools are at your

    disposal, whatever they may be.

It is important to think about shapes and relationships between shapes as your initial

markings could maybe end up as a masterpiece design. Take light strokes and be

gentle at first with the image in your head. You are allowed to use an eraser whilesketching, some people seem to think that sketching doesntinvolve correction, butmost artists continually self correct their mistakes. Having a good and sharp pencil or

equivalent can also make your life so much easier as you may not make as many

    mistakes.

The number one most important thing you can do to make yourself a better sketcher

is to get out of your own way, thats right, the simple act of thinking less can lead tomuch greater results. Art is a right brain activity and by letting go of your reasoning

and controlling functions you can develop better spatial relationships and a better

sense of shape and scale. In order to reach this place you need to be in a relaxed

situation and in a relaxed place, with everything you need right at your fingertips.

Then let go, take it slowly at first, and start you first steps to becoming the bestsketcher and designer you can be.

    The tutorials of SolidWorksModel.com

The SolidWorksModel package consists of 15 tutorials. Every tutorial is focused on one

part of the chopper. The jargon-free tutorials improve clarity, save you time and are

    made for quick learning.

You won't get overwhelmed in a mass of instructions all at once, because the

commands are small and specific. Information is in small manageable sections.

The front page of each tutorial tells you which features you will learn. A lot of

illustrations help clarity, making the explanations even clearer and easier to follow.

This list contains all the features and options you will use and learn.

    Release your creativity

You'll be able to give full scope to your imagination and creativity very quickly.

Creativity will increase as you gain more command over new techniques. Undertake

retouching tasks you never thought possible and produce design and renders like

the ones you have admired in publications.

It will be fun and you will feel a terrific sense of achievement. Create 3D models and

awesome renders you could never do before. All this without having to spend hours,

days, or weeks and a lot of money with expensive SolidWorks courses and trainings.

You could also develop 3D designs for sale to make extra money as industrial

    designer.

    Perfect reference guide

Although learning the basics of SolidWorks is fairly simple, a full understanding of

SolidWorks is more of a long-term matter. Some features are quite complicated and

are not used very often. A task can be learnt and understood. If a similar task is notdone for a while, then the procedure can be forgotten. With the E-books on the

computer, you have instant access to the contents and the tutorials can be used as

    quick-reference guides.

What am I capable of after I have finished with the SolidWorksModel Package?

Afterwards you are able to model, assemble and render the chopper of

SolidWorksModel all by yourself! But even more important, you are able to modelyour own personal designs with all your SolidWorks knowledge!

Youre now ready to start with Tutorial 1, the Transmission Belt.

When you encounter problems during the course, we recommend you to use the

SolidWorks files of SolidWorksModel as an example and reference file.
