It is obvious today that the effectiveness of education system is mainly related to the improvement of teacher qualification.

Therefore, the Ministry of Education pays exceptional attention to the development of teachers.

we believe that this experience would improve our participants’ skills and competencies with a view to increasing and developing adaptability, particularly in order to consolidate technological and organisational change

Our country has a rich historical and cultural heritage. One of the most effective methods is to use the museums for adding this heritage to both social and economical life and therefore providing the sustainable development.

Working with museums makes it possible for school lessons to be meaningful and to induce creavity through direct learning and as well as to gain the awareness of protecting art works by helping the students to realize the value of art works. In vocational training, the exhibition of the materials that support this process we have mentioned has an important role to see the historical background of the technological innovation and development of the organization

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

•assessing the importance and benefits of multi dimensional and effective learning in museums and the contribution of the museums to education in European dimension in the framework of lifelong learning.

•Promoting and reinforcing the contribution of museum training to the process of innovation of our city.

•Identifying and comparing training curricula and standards for the development of our education system

•in addition to socio-cultural impacts of the Project, it will also have socio-economic impacts like employment,added value,regional development and idle capacity reduction

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

• To give our participants the opportunity of having knowledge and experiences about the museum education.

• To encourage the best use of results, innovative products and processes and to exchange good practice in the field covered by the Lifelong Learning Programme, in order to improve the quality of education and training in our city.

The aim of the project prepared for educational use of museums in our country in order to strengthen the museum –school cooperation and provide the contributions of museum to education and culture of our society is to develop museum education methods and Raise national awareness of lifelong learning strategies and of European cooperation in education and training

In long-term The goal of the Project is to disseminate training activities in museums for dissimilar sectors of the society and provide the continuity

In Short-term, the goal of the Project is to develop education programs which can be applied continuously and will be coordinated by the museum and different from applications about the use of museums made by different institutions and organizations in cooperation with the museum in order to support the education

The most important deficiencies which haven’t been completed yet are museum's educational workshops; exhibition halls and educational texts which haven’t been prepared for children and training materials and copies which cannot be touched by them. School-Museum Days, is expected to be held so these deficiencies mentioned above is going to be corrected.

with the efforts of the Odunpazarı Municipality, the town has been transformed into a city of tourism with conventions, fairs, cultural events, art activities.it perfoms a facilitating function for carring out urban projects and restoration work for preservation of cultural heritage. it also designs and runs training and education projects by further developing the projects that will be conducted by teachers,students, administrators and NGOs involved in training.

The municipality aims to make culture visible by encouraging projects and developing cooperation with public institutions,local administrations and civil society organizations.the main goal is to promote large-scale public participation.

One of the main priorities of the municipality are Economical and social development .The municipality has achieved a lot of projects so far in order to provide added value and employment to the people in the area. One of the most important Projects is OMEK- a vocational training for unemployed people,youngs,housewives,students and employees. The aim of the Project is to provide the innovation and implementation of the people in the area. At the end of the course,people participating are expected to take place actively in social-economic structure of the area
