With the event season upon us, no doubt the next few months will be the most exciting and

busiest in the 2015 calendar. In preparation for the season ahead,

Harry the hirer has announced the exciting launch of its 2016 collection, alongside the launch of its new ‘Parties & Events’ brochure.

As detailed in the Product and Announcement section of Events and Equipment, Harry the hirer has also invested in a new creative team, as part of its overall brand strategy, who will assist with the trend forecasting, colour match-ing as well as product procurement.

Not only is Harry the hirer’s new collec-tion centred around style, sophistication and cohesiveness, but this year the com-pany will also remain strongly focussed on re ecting a stronger design aesthetic.

From a furniture perspective, Harry the hirer has also recognised a need to add some softer colours to the mix. This has led to the introduction of a brand new colour palette recently, which incorporated pastel colours such as a blush pink, soft mint and lavender, together with a base of soft greys, all which are in trend. Also incorporated into each design is an element of clean lines with a modern and fun approach.

Marketing and creative services head, Max Garrido said the company plans to continue to invest in its range and will continue to build its offering.

PROFILE

After servicing the Australian events industry for over 50 years, Pages Hire Service has built a reputation on being one of the best equipped and innovative event hire companies in Australia.

Pages – 50 years in event hire success

Pages prides itself on using a combi-nation of research, knowledge and application of current logistic man-

agement technologies, alongside a com-mitted and experienced workforce, some who have been with the company since it began in 1957, to build the company to where it is today.

HistoryA young mathematics teacher, named Greg Page, established Pages in 1957, when he decided to leave his job as a teacher and make his fortune in the party hire industry. He took a leave of absence from his teaching duties and started the company, Pages Hire Service, however aft er eight months, his gross takings were just 99 pound, 19 and 4 pence, so he re-turned to teaching mathematics. How-ever, Greg persevered with his party hire business and with the help of good friends and family, six of whom are still in the business, Pages was built into the popular hire business it is today.

During the 1990s, Attila Boros bought the company from Greg and soon aft er, one of the biggest developments in the business occurred when Pages won the right to sup-ply all the temporary structures, at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

“Our break-through period occurred just prior to the 2000 Olympic Games, when we were selected by the Australian Olympic Committee to become the offi cial supplier of temporary structures for the Olympic Games. Our task was to supply over 36,000m2 of temporary structures to the various Olympic sites. We delivered this project with overwhelming success,” Pages exhibition manager, John Delpech said.

Pages has gone on to build outlets throughout Sydney, Melbourne and Bris-bane, with business stretching across Aus-tralia and overseas.

2015 is proving to be another success-ful year for Pages, aft er it won the tender to supply all the temporary structures and furniture for all the venues during the 2015 Asian cup.

In-house design and manufacturingA popular aspect of the Page business is the company’s own in-design and manufactur-ing capability, which ensures it delivers sub-stantial fl exibility when meeting a client’s individual expectations. Mr Delpech said developing innovations such as an in-design and manufacturing capability, sees Pages create trends that the market can follow.

“We are a can do company. We accept challenges and focus on delivering above cli-ents’ expectations and we are totally focused on what we promise,” Mr Delpech said.

Although Pages attributes its success to delivering above and beyond a client’s expectations, as well as its dedicated and loyal team, Mr Delpech said it is still a very tough industry, with companies becoming very particular about where they spend their money.

“Although the Global Financial Crisis was seven years ago, the eff ect of this is still be-ing felt and companies are more careful

about spending money. Australia is a very small country and has loads of competition, with more cutting edge products available, less loyalty and overseas products also aff ect-ing the local market place,” he said.

“Part of our growth culture is to keep pace with emerging market requirements. Th is has led us to launch a new service division within the company that specialises in them-ing for the event and corporate sector. Our theming services facilitate a multifaceted de-sign and fi t out to create a unique and specifi c mood and ambience for any event.”

“Using props, exotic pieces, furniture, soft furnishing, artwork and graphics, we theme an event to showcase the desire for unique style, elegance, aesthetic appeal and artistic fl air, which creates that point of diff erence for an event,” Mr Delpech said

Advanced engineeringPages also continues to enhance its prod-uct line through on-going advancement in engineering techniques and fabrication. And in 2004 Pages introduced the fi rst Austral-ian manufactured 30m, 35m, 40m, 45m and 50m Clear Span Pavilions onto the market, while in 2009 Pages took on the challenge to design, manufacture and install the fi rst triple storey pavilion.

“Innovative design, fl exibility, skilled manufacturing and solid construction al-lows Pages to meet the individual expecta-tions of its clients and Pages now has the widest range of temporary single and multi-storied structures in the country, to suit any

environment or application, whether it be a hospitality enclosure, product launch or ex-hibition,” Mr Delpech said.

Pages’ event-abilityWith the capacity to design, manufacture, install and fi t out events of all sizes, Pages’ ‘can do’ attitude has led it to design and build the fi rst double storey marquee for Louis Vuitton, as well the fi rst triple storey decking for the V8 Supercars, F1 Series and Quicksilver Pro Surfi ng.

Pages also has signifi cant contracts in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Th ai-land and New Zealand, with some of its main customers including: V8 Supercar, Quicksilver Surfi ng, Brisbane Racing Club and Sydney Festival. Pages was also a trusted supplier at Th e Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival, Th e Commonwealth Games, Th e Australian Tennis Open, Th e Australian Open and PGA Golf Tourna-ment, Th e Asian Cup Soccer Tournament and World Cup Cricket.

With 50 plus years of experience in the events industry, Pages corporate styl-ist also provides its customers with a full event theming service, headed by Pages designer Deborah De Jong.

Pages productsLooking into the future Pages is set to makeover its website to ensure it is more interactive for its customer, while also un-dertaking extensive marketing to promote the wedding market and exhibition industry.

Pages also plans to continue delivering confi dence to its customers by off ering one of the largest range of marquees and integrated services built over six decades.

Australian hire companies continue to diversify their product offerings, not only so they can keep up with market trends, but also to consistently offer customers something new, Nufurn Managing Director, Gavin Krawchuck reported recently.

“We have certainly seen the industry continue to grow and evolve

over the years. It seems our cus-tomers have become more sophis-ticated and savvy every year, so it’s really important for hire compa-

nies to remain

relevant to their target markets. Those that do remain relevant, will thrive and those that don’t, will gradually decline

- unless they evolve too,” according to Mr Krawchuck, of the commercial solu-tions company.

“In particular, classic Bentwood chairs have had a lot of interest over the last 12 months as brides become more and more discerning on what their dream day will look like. Bentwood chairs are still a premium product and accordingly, rental companies can get a premium on hire. It is for this reason that we also plan on extending our range of premium offers over the next 12 months,” he said.

Delivering on qualityAlthough Mr Krawchuck believes those who remain relevant to current trends will do well within the industry, he also noted that there were not a lot of new competitors that had come onto the market in recent years.

“Although there aren’t many new competitors we have noticed some lo-cal hire companies buying direct from overseas suppliers. I believe that this is a big gamble and very risky. Buyer dealing direct has no recourse when the goods fail to meet the required stand-ards and fall apart. This only exposes the company and their clients as well,” Mr Krawchuck said.

“Many companies abroad manufac-ture goods to achieve a particular price point rather than a standard. We start

with the standard first and the price is a result of that quality standard. The thing is this - hire companies make their real money and success from concentrating on their primary busi-ness. That is having very good quality inventory that will provide year on year returns over the long term and also from running a tight logistics operation. Having a good local supplier that will

stand by them and enable their business to grow is also extremely crucial to that success,” he said.

Mr Krawchuck also pointed out that it seems the majority of overseas pro-ducers are not concerned with the repu-tation of their name and seem to just produce to a price point to get to the sale.

“However, we produce to a standard first and the price is secondary,” he said.

Solid company historyNufurn was established in 1996, as a supplier of commercial furniture to hire and rental companies.

“Initially, we successfully set a busi-ness in the US to supply that market with the same products we developed for the Australian hire industry. Hire and event companies are still part of our core business and we also have

a specialist team that looks after the unique requirements of the industry,” Mr Krawchuck said.

“Being established since 1996 we have been a valued and trusted supplier to the industry for near on 20 years. This year, we won Hospitality Maga-zine’s ‘Most Trusted Supplier’ award in the Furniture and Fit-out category. There are of course many reasons why our customers continue to buy from us and if I were to define the top three, it would be: 1. High quality of product, 2. Largest stock holdings for quick turna-round, 3. First class service.”

“Over the last 10 years we have also evolved into a leading supplier of com-mercial furniture to the broader hospi-tality market, including hotels, clubs, restaurants etc. The upside is that we have one of the broadest ranges of com-mercial furniture available to hire and event companies in Australia,” he said.

Durability a priority at AlloyfoldThe importance of designing and manufacturing durable products is

more imperative than ever, according to Alloyfold international sales man-ager, Gregg Hagen, who said its prod-ucts were designed and manufactured specifically to cater to the high usage of hire companies.

“The constant demand placed on chairs and tables as they are trans-ported, set up and used at events means they need to be made from strong du-rable materials and designed with these demands in mind. Chairs and tables in our range are all stackable, lightweight and portable,” Mr Hagen said.

“Our customers continue to look for longevity in their inventory. They consider the return on investment they will get from chairs and tables. Rather than just thinking about the up-front cost, they also carefully consider their lifetime value which is determined by strength and durability. We’ve certainly seen that with our Alloyfold aluminium folding chairs, a lot of the original chairs that are now around 15 years old are still being rented out by our custom-ers,” he said.

Mr Hagen said one of Alloyfold’s customers in the USA recently said that although steel chairs often cost more,

“maintenance has got to be a tenth of what it is on any other chairs, if that, and then the lifespan outlasts six or seven sets of them!”

Although hire companies do know that purchasing quality products in the hire industry is important, some hire companies still seek to pay less for furniture as margins become tighter. However, Mr Hagen said that this is an easy trap for rental companies to fall into the trap of buying the cheapest product on the market, even though it is not worth it if the furniture only of-fers a short rental life or requires a lot of maintenance.

“We can honestly say that although some of our products cost more, they of-fer a much better return on investment as they can last six to seven times longer, require very little maintenance, and are lightweight to set-up and pack down, sav-ing our customers money in the long run,” he said.

Industry inconsistenciesAlthough there are many inconsistent standards throughout the events and equipment industry, there are hire products that are of a very high stand-ard and are certified for use in Austral-ia, according to Mr Hagen, who reiter-ated the importance of doing the right homework when purchasing inventory.

“When purchasing products, hire com-panies need to ensure they seek samples to compare diff erent brands and talk to other rental store owners who have purchased them. We have a collection of testimonials on our products from our customers, in both written form and on video, because their opinions aft er rent-ing them out hold a lot more weight than that of a salesperson.”

“We have just launched a new range of premium banquet tables, onto the market, complete with reinforced, blow

moulded table tops that feature the same strength, heat resistant materials and ISO quality ratings as our popular blow moulded range. However, they are styled with a table top, leg finish and design features that require no covering and remove annoying leg braces that impede diner’s legroom,” he said.

Mr Hagen also said that Alloyfold’s blow moulded folding tables are consist-ently a top seller, include a 10 year com-mercial warranty and deliver decent cost savings when compared to cheaper tables and wooden equivalents. In addition, the Bella Evolution can’t be beaten when it comes to event seating, he said.

“Every year we exhibit at the HRIA convention and we’ve also just exhibited at the HIANZ conference in Christch-urch, NZ. We also exhibit at The Rental Show in the USA and have done so for 15 years straight.”

“We have also just started offering Lycra table covers, which as you’d im-agine are a great add-on rental for hire companies to offer to their customers. They are machine washable, low main-tenance and create a sleek look for par-ties or events,” he said.

Market trendsWhen looking at trends in the market, Mr Hagen believes the market remains quite steady, with customers continuing to opt for products that work for them.

“Our customers continue to choose chairs that are easy to stack and light to transport. Th ey look for versatility in their inventory and that’s why our Bella Evolution has appealed to many hire companies, because it off ers two diff erent chairs in one.”

“We have noticed more machinery hire companies are now branching out to include some party hire as well. In terms of suppliers, yes competition has increased also which is forcing prices down and ultimately giving hire com-panies better deals,” he said.

Biggest point of differentAlloyfold is wholly owned by Pathway Charitable Group, an organisation which assists disadvantaged people to make a fresh start, with every chair or table pur-chased helping to change a life and make a diff erence in the community.

“Th e fact that we are a charitable business is our biggest point of diff erence. Alloyfold is wholly owned by Pathway Charitable Group. Profi ts from Alloyfold sales pro-vide the majority of funding for Pathway’s social services which includes: social work support, accommodation, employment opportunities, mentoring and prisoner re-integration,” Mr Hagen said.

Alloyfold began manufacturing alumin-ium folding chairs in 1998, with the prod-uct quickly becoming a popular choice for rental companies all around the world. Th e chairs quickly became popular because they off er a return on investment that steel folding chairs could not compete with, ac-cording to Alloyfold, as aluminium chairs are rust free, require no maintenance and are strong, durable and lightweight.

Alloyfold now sells a wide range of contract chairs and commercial grade tables as well as cinema seating, waiting area seating, church seating, conven-tion seating and office furniture.

All of the chairs and tables in the Alloyfold range are stackable, lightweight and portable.

PRODUCTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Harry the hirer announces 2016 collectionHarry the hirer, one of Australia’s leading parties, events and furniture suppliers, recently announced its 2016 collection, alongside the launch of its new ‘Parties & Events’ brochure.

As part of the launch, Harry the hirer has appointed a new creative team to assist with trend forecasting, colour matching as well as product procure-ment, which is all part of its overall brand strategy.

This year the new collection is centred on style, sophistication and cohesiveness across all new product collections and the company is also strongly focused on reflecting a stronger design aesthetic.

From a furniture perspective, Harry the hirer has a large inventory of strong, bright coloured pieces, but has also rec-ognised a need to add some softer colours to the mix. This will see the introduction of a brand new colour palette making its way through the new product lines, incorporating pastel colours such as a blush pink, soft mint and lavender, to-gether with a base of soft greys, all which are in trend. Also incorporated into each design is an element of clean lines with a modern and fun approach.

“Our vision moving forward is to take a holistic approach to our furniture procurement and our aim is to create cohesive stories, to create complete col-lections, not just one off pieces,” Harry the hirer senior creative stylist, Taylor Edmonds said recently.

Harry the hirer not only plans to cre-ate more complimentary pieces in the near future, to ensure more options are available for clients, but is also in the

process of further developing its prod-uct ranges by keeping the finishes uni-form and interconnected with balanced proportions.

“We continue to invest in our range and with our brand forever evolving, we will continue to build our offering. We are ex-cited to see the response this will have on the market place and we are sure it’s going to be a positive one,” marketing and crea-tive services head, Max Garrido said.

China International Furniture FairChina Foreign Trade Centre (CFTC) (Group) has announced that starting 2015, China International Furniture Fair (CIFF) will take place annually at China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex in March and at the National Exhibition & Convention Center (NECC) in Hong-qiao, Shanghai in September.

CIFF (Shanghai) has become the focus of attention in the industry and leaders of China National Furniture Association and UBM Asia will attend a series of activities for the 36th edi-tion. CIFF is working hard to optimize China’s exhibition market pattern and

provide the industry with more choices and benefits.

Design in ChinaCIFF is a world-class platform for trading, brand promotion, fashion display and industry gathering and its original de-sign elements have always been a high-light. Each session provides a platform for exchange and brings together enter-prise representatives, experts, scholars and design elites in the industry from all over the world to promote original de-signs, setting the trend for China’s home furnishings sector.

The 36th CIFF (Shanghai) will be held in Hall 2 of the NECC and will be

curated by renowned furniture designer Zhu Xiaojie, in cooperation with more than 20 well-known designers in a team that brings together designers from 12 countries and regions including Main-land China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Six workshops will be held including Liu Xiaokang Workshop, Yang Mingjie Workshop and Lu Zhirong Workshop and many universities will also be in attendance, including China Academy of Art, China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University and Jiangnan University. They promote innovation in China’s furniture design, lead the in-dustry to the new era of design innova-tion and carry forward oriental design.

Facilities and ServicesThe NECC is the world’s largest single building and exhibition complex and has a gross f loor area of 1.47 million square meters, equal to 206 standard football fields. It offers 400,000 square meters of indoor and 100,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition venues, ranking second in the world in terms of exhibition area. Conveniently located near the airport, high-speed train and expressway network, event organizers will supply shuttle buses between ex-hibition halls and to the city, forming a hub of communication accessible from all directions, ensuring that everything works together to provide the furniture industry with perfect services.

As for intellectual property rights that are a big concern for the industry, CIFF is the first event of its kind in China to es-tablish the “Intellectual Property Service Window” at the exhibitions, working with related government departments, legal experts and lawyers to protect exhibitors.

Moreton Hire delivers Camp Gallipoli across the nationApril marked the 100-year anniversary of ANZAC day and Camp Gallipoli, an event was held across five locations, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth and Hobart, in honour of the centenary commemoration.

Camp Gallipoli attendees watched his-torical footage, slept out under the stars as

the original ANZACs did and attended a special Dawn Service.

According to Moreton Hire COO, Roger Motteram, the vision for the event was to create and celebrate an authentic experience.

“The event organisers brief was to execute a special night of remembrance, entertainment, mateship, and birth of the ANZAC spirit,” he says.

Moreton Hire staff co-ordinated the theming of the war-themed stages, built and themed entrances, and display stands using pillows and sandbags, netting, and patri-otic flags across five states simultaneously.

Sydney proved the greatest challenge as weather caused the event to be postponed at Centennial Park and then relocated and run 24 hours later at Moore Park.

The relocation meant the team had to mobilise all stock and staff, then build the infrastructure within a 24 hour period be-fore 5,500 patrons arrived.

The 12,000 pillows and sand bags that were used in the displays were all donated to the Salvation Army at the conclusion of the event.

The event was supported by the Anzac Centenary Committee, the Federal Educa-tion Department, RSL and Legacy.

Managing night time noiseCommunity tolerance for noisy projects is always a challenge for contractors, and night works are especially prone to com-plaints, according to Ray Lee from Echo Barrier, who says managing noise up-front is essential to maintaining good will.

While night works offer many commu-nity advantages, including keeping busy roads operational during peak hours, Ray says noise management becomes a major obligation after dark.

“People are understandably more sensi-tive to noise at night, and the social media age has made it very easy for people to raise concerns, sometimes even before there’s an actual issue. It’s not unusual for people to head straight to Facebook with their worries about a sleepless night when they see a crew setting up for night work,” he says.

“Having noise mitigation products in place will not only help keep the volume down, it will reassure stakeholders. Get-ting on the front foot like this is a good way to address concerns before they turn into complaints.”

Ray says choosing a product like Echo Barrier can help contractors maxim-ise their night working opportunities,

minimise headaches for the organisations they deliver work for, and improve their capacity to win night work contracts.

“Just as an absolute commitment to safety has become a requirement for coun-cils and developers, so too will noise man-agement become a ‘ticket to play’ in our industries. The key for contractors will be to use noise mitigation products that keep noise to acceptable levels, are cost effective and are simple to set up.”

Echo Barrier is a portable barrier that attenuates noise and can also help with dust and debris control.

“Echo Barrier can be set up or removed in a very short period, which is important

when you are opening and closing a work-site every night. It can also be quickly redeployed as the project progresses, and it’s highly visible, so your community will immediately understand that you have noise management in hand.”

Echo Barrier temporary acoustic bar-riers for construction sites are easily fitted to temporary fencing or scaffolding and reduce noise by 10-20 dB (A). For locations with high rise buildings, Echo Barrier has some new innovations like an acoustic tent.

“Echo Barrier works by absorbing rather than reflecting sound, and our products have been developed by leading acoustic engineers to work in the real world, not just in the lab,”

Echo Barrier absorbs sound to reduce the impact noise and drone of construction equipment.

Sustainable Events Summit 2015 leads a call to actionThere’s power in sharing; Everyone can lead; and Change starts with making a commitment. These were the key themes that came out of this year’s Sustainable Events Summit which took place on Mon-day 6 July at the QEII Conference Centre.

Over 130 event industry professionals lis-tened to and were inspired by speakers and presenters who shared their experiences and gave hands-on advice in a mix of plenary sessions, presentations and workshops.

Two high-profile projects from Australia and Denmark showed delegates what their colleagues overseas are doing to embed sustainability into their working practices. Chelli Easson from the Gold Coast Com-monwealth Games Organising Committee talked about the importance of sustainabil-ity and how it is central to the planning and legacy of this major sporting event. Ulrika Mårtensson outlined the goals and suc-cesses of the highly successful Wonderful Copenhagen ‘BeeSustain’ campaign.

Chris Hines, founder of Surfers against Sewage and former Director of Sustain-ability at The Eden Project, gave an inspira-tional presentation around the theme that change starts with making a commitment. At a lively panel session hosted by Nadine Dereza, guests that included Bel Sadgrove

from Samsung, Meegan Jones from Green Shoot Pacific, Andrew Walker from MPI, Katie Deighton from Event magazine and Heather Salmon of the Positive Change Ini-tiative agreed that brands with sustainability as part of their identity are leading the charge in the field of brand experience. This was fol-lowed by a head-to-head with Jane Culcheth Beard from Hewlett Packard who discussed the company’s approach to sustainability.

Throughout the day, delegates were polled on a number of questions the results of which are below:-

82% of delegates learnt four new practi-cal actions for implementing sustainability.

59% of delegates felt that sharing in-formation is the most important thing the industry needs to do to for the future of the sustainable events industry.

42% of delegates want to become an ambassador for change and promoting a sustainable events industry.

50% of delegates see communication as the most important next step in their sus-tainability journey.

SES 2015 delegates were also able to hear, first hand, how the earthquake in Ne-pal has affected not only the travel industry, but also the people who work in the sec-tor. Furba Sherpa, from Sherpa Brothers Treks, spoke live to delegates and a further interview with him will be uploaded on the Community website www.sustaina-bleeventssummit.com shortly.

Following the Summit, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Sustainable Events Ltd Fiona Pelham said, “The Global Sus-tainable Events Summit gives the opportu-nity for event professionals to meet face to face to collaborate on creating a sustainable

events industry. This year a clear outcome voiced by summit attendees was the inten-tion to share more, so I am looking forward to UK leaders becoming Positive Impact Ambassadors, sharing their actions via Twitter using #shareapositiveimpact and causing a noticeable shift in the industry.”

Rick Stanton, Smyle Managing Direc-tor and SES Co-Founder echoed this. “The vibrant discussions led to a very dynamic networking forum at this year’s Summit; there was a real sense that this third year had gained some serious momentum in both en-gagement and understanding from the pre-vious two years’ events. The delegate feed-back and social media statistics both clearly underline this, which reassures us that this event has an increasingly significant place in the live comms and events educational and networking diary. We are really pleased with its growing success and the impact on real action and behavioural change will ul-timately be the test of its continued legacy.”From www.eventindustrynews.co.uk

Info Salons Group and Konduko enter distribution agreement to deliver smart events in Greater AsiaKonduko, Swiss-based provider of activi-ty-based proximity technologies, and Info Salons, the leading registration partner in the Greater Asian event industry, seal a channel partnership to deliver a fully integrated and versatile digital solution to help event organisers re-imagine their visitor and exhibitor experiences.

Jo-Anne Kelleway, Info Salons’ CEO says, “Konduko is the future of digital show bags. Over the years the biggest chal-lenge our industry faces is exhibitors not following up their leads. Konduko gives us the opportunity to put the power back in the hands of the visitor.”

The centerpiece of Konduko’s solution is the Konduko Reader. It is a small, smart proximity sensor that is installed across the venue and uploaded with valuable content provided by event organisers, exhibitors and sponsors for the visitors to collect with their smart badge.

In recent years, the event industry has seen a rapid increase in the availability of new technologies from mobile apps to prox-imity technologies (iBeacons, NFC). “Our view is that for any technology to succeed, a 100% of visitors must have the capability in their hands.” says Matt Harris, CEO of Konduko. “Now that we are fully integrated

Prototype’s night under the starsPrototype Commercial Furniture, in association with Moreton Hire, Brisbane Powerhouse and Zen Catering, recently hosted a networking night under the stars.

Guests were greeted with a glass of Veuve Clicquot and, as they sipped away, they were treated to a performance by Queensland Ballet and jazz duo, Out of Abignon.

Zen catering kept tastebuds tantalised with a menu that in-cluded fresh oysters, a great range of canapés and fi nally a dessert course of cinnamon donuts and Spanish hot chocolate.

“Th e Night Under Th e Stars proved to be a great occasion for Prototype to catch up with industry leaders and clients along with putting a face to the names of some of our suppliers. Combining the event with Moreton Hire created a great networking event for a wide range of people in various industries,” said Prototype spokesman Simon Morahan.

Prototype used the occasion to showcase new furniture pieces to work in with the theming put together by Moreton Hire’s na-tional event designer Warrick McDonald.

Prototype Commercial Furniture Account Manager Mia Wilkinson-Packman said, “Th e night Under the Stars event was a great success.

“Moreton Hire and Brisbane Powerhouse did a wonderful job in creating a relaxing and entertaining environment where Prototype could mingle and catch up with clients. Th e night provided a great opportunity to meet with a range of industry professionals in a more social setting,” she said. From www.spicenews.com.au
