At times like this, it’s hard to find exact words
to express our appreciation for all the love shown
to us during the loss of my precious son
Dennis, David’s twin brother. It was only
through God’s grace and the support of our fam-
ily, church family and friends that sustained
us. The visits, telephone calls, food and cards
were overwhelming. From the bottom of our
hearts we thank you. Dennis loved his church,
his pastor and his church friends. I take comfort
in knowing first of all he’s with his Savior and
also walking hand in hand with his earthly
father, Brian. What a beautiful sight!
Our hearts overflow with gratitude for every
deed that was done on our behalf.
We love each of you,
Dean, David and Brian

The enduring legends of St. Patrick are that he used a shamrock to explain the Trinity and that he banished all snakes from Ireland. The true story of Pat-rick, however, survives not in his myths but in his work. Patrick was responsi-ble for converting the people of Ireland to Christianity.
Patrick was born in Britain in the first half of the 5th century. At the age of 16 he was taken to Ireland by pirates and sold into slavery where he was sus-tained by his faith during his six years working as a herdsman. When Patrick escaped and returned to Britain, he had a vision of the Irish begging him to return to Ireland to spread his faith. Patrick recorded this call to his vocation in the Confessio, his spiritual autobiography and one of his two short writings that have survived.
After studying in continental monasteries, Patrick returned to Ireland as a missionary. Despite a constant threat to his life, Patrick traveled widely, bap-tizing, confirming, preaching, and building churches, schools, and monaster-ies. Patrick succeeded in converting almost the entire population of the is-land.
Patrick’s story encourages us to examine what kind of influence we are having on the world around us. If one man could be largely responsible for the con-version of almost an entire island, what could we do in our little corner of the world? I believe three words explain the influence Patrick had on Ireland – he saw, he felt, he acted.
His vision and compassion for the people of Ireland compelled him to proac-tively involve himself in their lives. He did not merely cast a glance, he saw their need and he felt the call of God to be His partner in bringing them to faith. He did not just pity them, he rolled up his sleeves and went out among them preaching, sharing, and living his faith.
You and I have that kind of impact in our community if we will slow down long enough to see beyond the faces in the crowd around us and compassion-ately perceive the needs in the lives of those with whom we come in contact every day. Then we can let our vision and compassion compel us to proactive-ly be involved meeting needs, being a friends, lending a hand, all the while telling the good news of Jesus.
And while you’re at it . . . can you work on those snakes?

MUSIC IN MINISTRY
YOU KNOW BY NOW THAT WE ARE HOSTING a presentation of “The Road To Hope” at Bellevue as
we begin our Easter Season Celebration. Saturday, March 5th will be a day packed with possibilities as we invite all we know to this moving event. As we invite people, as we engage with those who come, let us make each one know how glad we are they’ve come to be with us. FOLLOWING THAT EVENT WILL BE OUR CELEBRATION CHOIR presenting the music and worship event of “Behold The Lamb” in our Morning Worship Service on Palm Sunday, March 20th. As I said last month , it’s a presentation like we’ve never done before and I believe will be a great blessing to ALL who come and worship with us that day. We must be about the business of “bringing them in.” Following the morning worship service we’ll share a fellowship meal together and then enjoy watching the children scourer the planet in our Annual Children’s Egg Hunt. It’s a day for all ages to gather and celebrate. LAST, BUT SURELY NOT LEAST, IS EASTER DAY! Sunday, March 27th, we’ll begin with our Easter Sunrise Service at 7:30 followed by a great breakfast. Our regular 10:30 worship service will be a great time of singing and celebrating as we lift our hearts in praise and rejoice in our Resurrected Lord. This is a time when many people will come to church when they will not otherwise. Let us make each one present know that this is the church they need to be at every Sunday. We can all make the difference as we seek to serve our Savior through our expressions of wel-come and genuine joy to all we greet! MARCH IS A MONTH FILLED WITH MANY MOMENTS of service and celebration. We celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus every Sun-day. In fact it’s a daily experience for us as believers. But this month brings added emphasis to the facts of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. Let’s make the most of every opportunity we are afforded to come together and be the redeemed church of our precious Lord. Let us go out of our way to be sure everyone around us knows what’s going on at Bellevue during this
season. Blessings!
Bro. Harry
Hello brothers and sisters,
Well, February has really flown by and April is on the horizon, but
let's stay focused on the present. The month of March will look very
relaxed for the youth, however, we will all be very busy. Please don't forget that we have Road to Hope coming this month on the 5th,
please invite everyone you know to this event; it will be great! Now
in case you didn't know, the youth will be hosting on March 9th the
Wednesday night supper, tickets will be sold in advance for $6. We will be serving cheesy chicken pasta, green beans, rolls, and dessert,
the food will be great, your presence will be lovely, and I'm sure that
pastor Jim will have an awesome message like always! Now, last
month the youth boys had a great time going to the Marsh's house to build a retaining wall down by the lake lead by Anthony Brown. The
youth girls had just as much fun going to the Ronald McDonald
house lead by Mrs. Annette Toney and Mrs. Amanda Brown. They
baked goodies, cleaned windows, and shared stories with some of the people there. Thanks for your support.
In Christ,
Rev. Anthony Brown
See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I
tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my
Father in heaven."
— Matthew 18:10
What a blessing it is to be able to work with the children in our church every week. They are always full of energy and love to be a part of church. They often remind me that I need to slow down from the busy every day responsibilities and take time to listen to them. I love to spend time talking to them. Listening to what happened at school or what’s going on in their life. They are all so different and special in their own way. I want to encourage you to take the time to talk to our children. They love for people to stop them to talk. Not only will they leave with a smile…….so will you. Take the time to ask them about school or what we are learning in church. They love to share but most of all they love to know that you care. Our children are a wonderful blessing. They want to work to make our church strong. Please be in prayer for our children’s department. They are a great group of chil-dren. Thank you for all that you do. The love of our church is phenomenal. Blessings, Donna
“82% of the unchurched are at least somewhat likely to
attend church if invited.”
“Only 2% of church members invite an unchurched person to church. 98% of
church-goers never extend an invitation in a given year”
— Thom Rainer, President of LifeWay
Will you be the 2% (exceptional) or the 98% (unconcerned)?
The 82% are waiting for YOU to invite them.
Invite someone THIS SUNDAY.
