WELCOME to the 31st season of the Bellevue Chamber Chorus! As we begin our fourth decade as an ensemble, we’re as dedicated as ever to our artistic mission: “to enhance the community’s enjoyment and understanding of the choral arts by communicating the beauty of music.” Our exciting programs for this season reflect our continuing love of all kinds of song from all over the world.
Join us in December on a magical musical tour of “Christmas in Europe”, and then bring your whole family to our “Carol Fest” celebration and sing-along. In March, experience an inspirational international feast of powerful musical testimonies to human hope, faith, and love with our “Spirit Rising” concerts. Finally, enjoy an assortment of quintessentially American popular music when “A Song in My Heart” rolls into town in May.
Take advantage of our discounted season series card, and mix and match attendance at any or all of these great concerts. Any way you slice it, we’re sure you’ll be moved, transported, and entertained by a season full of magnificent music. See you on the downbeat!

Let your spirit soar with stirring music of hope, faith, and inspiration from both sacred and secular traditions. Featuring the stunning Dark Night of the Soul for chorus, piano, and string quartet by contemporary Norwegian/American composer Ola Gjeilo, the varied program also contains the early Baroque masterpiece Die mit Tränen säen by Johann Schein, Eric Barnum’s sublime and meditative Dawn, the rousing Gospel powerhouse John the Revelator arranged by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory, and much more. Don’t miss this uplifting musical experience!
Buon natale and Joyeux Noël! Take a holiday trip across the Atlantic with this diverse sample of European treasures for Christmas and the New Year. Our festive musical journey includes delightful carols from Austria, Ireland, Poland, Spain, and Ukraine, glorious anthems by Poulenc (O magnum mysterium), Tchaikovsky (We Bless Thy Name), and contemporary Swedish composer Jan Sandström (Gloria), and the marvelous Fantasia on Christmas Carols by Ralph Vaughan Williams, featuring Nathan Whittaker, cello. Celebrate the season with us as we wish you God Jul and Feliz navidad!
Our popular vocal jazz show returns with a cavalcade of familiar standards by the giants of jazz and pop song writing, arranging, and singing. You’ll enjoy such timeless hits as Billie Holiday’s God Bless the Child, Dave Brubeck’s Take Five, Rodgers and Hart’s My Funny Valentine, and Duke Ellington’s I’m Just a Lucky So and So, to name only a few. Accompanied by a swinging rhythm section, the program promises a parade of top tunes sure to put a song (or two) in your heart!
