1),AfteryouhaveremovedclutchbasketandclutchhubfrommotorcycleYouwillneedtopressouttheoldOEMclutchhub.Supportbasketsonodamagewilloccur,Thanremoveclutchhubtaleshaftretainingring.andusingapress,Pressouttheoldclutchhub,Seebelowpictures.

2)OnceyouhaveremovedtheoldOEMclutchhub,PressinthenewBDLCC-130-CHclutchhub,Placeclutchhubonapedestalandpressbasketdownontohub,Bypressingonclutchhubbearinginnerraceonly.Seebelow.

Verifyoldclutchhubbearingisgood,seebelow,Grabtheinner"hub"inonehandwiththeotherhandspintheOuter"Basket",IfitspinsfreelyandthereisnovibrationorjumpingfeelingthenbearingshouldbeOKtoreuse,Ifnotreplaceclutchhubbearing.RefertoyourServicemanualforthesesteps.

3)Installnew"supplied"clutchhubretainingringintoclutchhubtaleshaftgroove.Seebelow.BesureyoucompletelySeatretainingringintotheclutchhubtaleshaftgroove

CC-130-BBINSTRUCTIONS,CONTINUED4)Timetoinstallclutchbasketandtherestoftheprimarydriveassemblybackontothemotorcycle.RefertoyourYearandModelServiceManualfortheproperinstallationstepsforyourbike.Note*BDLrequiresyoutoapplyRedLoctitetothesplinesofthefirst1"ofthesplinesonthemainshaftandtheinternalsplinesofourclutchhubbeforeinstallingclutchhubontomainshaft.ApplyRedLoctitetothefirstinchofmainshaft,slidetheCC-130-CHclutchhuboverthemainshaft,ThiswillapplytheRedLoctitetotheinternalsplinesoftheclutchhub,Removehub,andwipeoffallexcessRedLoctitefromthelast1"ofmainshaftnearprimarybearing,reapplyRedLoctitetofirst3/4"ofmainshaftandinstallclutchassembly,Torquethehubnutto70-80Ft.LB's.Afterfinalinstallation,LetLoctitecurefor24hoursbeforestartingmotorcycle.5)afteryouhaveinstalledclutchbasketandprimaryassembly,Itistimetostack"Load"yourclutchplatesintothebasket.SeeBelow.Noticethedifferenceinthefrictionmaterialfootprint,TheOEMplateisonthetopoftheBDLCC-130-CPclutchplate.BDLplatehasmorethantwiceasmuchfrictionmaterial.

6)Whenloadingaclutch,youwillusuallyfindthatthereisaslightlyroundedsidetoallclutchplates,Loadallclutchplatessothisroundedsideisfacingoutwardawayfrommotorcycle.Youwillhave: (1).120ThicksteelbackingplatethatwillloadfirstintothebasketNextyouwillinstall:(1).150"thickPresoakedfrictionplate.Thenyouwillalternatebetweensteeldriveplatesandfrictionclutchplatesuntilallsteel&clutchplateshavebeeninstalled.Donotworryaboutthelastfrictionplatebeingabovetheheightoftheclutchhub.Itwillstayandrideontheclutchbasketdogsandcannotfalloutofplacewhenpressureplatehasbeeninstalled,SeeBelow

Note*Thisisawetclutchthelastplateinbasketisafrictionandthiswillcontactthepressureplate,Itdoesnotneedtobeasteelplate.

8)ApplyadroportwoofBlueLoctiteto(6)holesintheclutchhubthatmatchthe(6)holepatternofthepressureplate.

9)Installballbearingsintopressureplate,"SeeTechTipbelow"Alignholesofthecollartothecutoutsinthediaphragmspring,Alignbothcomponentstothe(6)holepatternofpressureplate,Whileapplyingalittlepressuretothecollartokeepbearingsfromfallingoutofplace,Aligntheshoulderboltstothe(6)holesyouappliedtheBlueLoctitetoinclutchhub,Tightenthe(6)shoulderboltstotheclutchhub,Torquethe(6)shoulderboltsto12-14Ft.Lb's.
