This year’s special guest is Andy Stokes. If you look into the Soul of Portland, you will find Andy Stokes. He has re- corded with A & M Re- cords, Warner Brothers Records, toured Japan, and en- joyed a solo ca- reer. His recording of the song Test of Time made the Top 10 on the Billboard charts. Andy has per- formed with Curtis Salgado, Linda Horn- buckle, and Nu Shooz lo- cally, along with Michael Bolton, George Clinton, Connie Stevens, Tempta- tions, Stylistics and many others. Additionally, he was the voice for one of the famous California Rai- sin characters, developed at Will Vinton Studios. Andy continues to perform his unique soulful music throughout the Northwest. The Trail Band is an 8- piece ensemble that creates an energetic blend of brass and string arrangements of traditional and original mu- sic featuring five great vo- calists including Quarter- flash's Rindy Ross. Hun- dreds of public and private may add the Ballroom to the mix in order to accom- modate more vendors since it will be close to Christ- mas. our membership dues were on a month to month basis. If you joined in June, your dues were renewed the fol-lowing June. The board of directors determined that an annual membership run-ning January 1st through December 31st was more efficient. We’ve also im-plemented a new Member-ship Benefits program that is geared to the level of membership.

The new program will roll out on January 1, 2015. If your dues were to be re-newed in the past few months, you have a choice of pro-rating those dues through the end of the year and then pay for 2015, or send in your check for your membership renewal and note on the application that you wish your dues to take effect January 1, 2015. Membership Chairperson Your support of the Civic Auditorium is much appre-ciated by members of The Dalles Civic Auditorium Historic Preservation Com-mittee. Without our friends who see the value of preserving the Civic, our job would be much more difficult. We salute you!

This past year has been a busy one for us. (See be-low.)

The long awaited restora-tion of the Civic’s Theatre is upon us. We’ve re-ceived the engineer’s plan and just need to factor in the costs to have a com-pleted plan.

If you haven’t seen the ar-chitect’s renderings of what the fully-restored Theatre will look like, please check out our web-site or stop by the Theatre

the next time you are in the building. We are excited to get started and 2015 will be the year our campaign starts moving forward with greater speed.

Your continued support of The Civic is important to us for many reasons:

1.Your investment finan-cially supports us.

2.Your investment shows foundations and grantors that we have the support of the community.

3.Many of our volunteers come from our supporters and those volunteer hours are used as match for grant applications. We have many areas where we need volunteers.

4.Your investment assures our TDCAHPC Board of Directors that we’re not alone in this.

Over the past several years,

The 4th Annual Beer Fest was held in September. This is an annual benefit event for the Civic and the beer was graciously donated by the breweries.

We were part of the PEO

This past year has been busy for the Civic! We’ve hosted several events such as:

Pianist Matt Bowers en-tertained us in April. This was a benefit concert for The Civic and he made the grand piano sing!

In May, we hosted the first “Preservation Month

of course, we’ll be provid-ing tours of the building.

We are already planning for a bigger and better 5th An-

nual Beer Fest event!

There’s more in the works but we’d rather surprise you!

We are already planning events for 2015, so next year won’t be just about the restoration of the Theatre.

We will wrap up the Flea

Markets in February. They have been a big hit!

The Civic and The Fort Dalles Museum/Anderson Homestead Foundation will be co-hosting “History Af-

ter Hours” on February 10th for local history people.

In March, musician Scott

Helmer will be performing at a benefit concert. Scott has made it his mission to help raise $1,000,000 for

Historic Theatres across the U.S. We are honored that he se-lected our facility to assist. We’ll have local musicians as the open-ing acts so stay tuned!

The “Historic Preservation

Month Open House” re-turns the first Sunday in May. This year we’re going to feature the Century Farms and Ranches of Wasco County. Wasco County his-tory venues will be invited to participate as well. And
