CAMP SAN JOSE @ BERRYESSA

Join us in another great summer season of fun and unforgettable memories. Each week the camps will have a different theme and if permitting, we will tailor the theme towards the field trip of the week. The summer camp will continue the mission of the Spring Break Camp of Enrichment through Fun and Play. Enrichment activities will be incorporated into daily activities, games and crafts. Age appropriate activities that will allow participants to show their creative sides as well as recreation and sports games that will promote physical fitness. Campers will need to bring a lunch and water every day. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Field trip locations will be announced on April 8, 2016.

BABY BALLET (PARENT/CHILD) Baby ballet encourages self-expression and fun! Children learn to respond to music, improve balance and agility, and express their feelings through dance. Summer Class - DANCE

HIP-HOP High energy dance classes provide hours of fun while improving coordination, stamina, and overall fitness. Dance steps are introduced in easy to understand language.. Instructions are broken down to simplify the learning process, thereby helping to instill confidence in all dancers. Program culminates with an exciting presentation! SUMMER CLASS - MUSIC BEGINNING PIANO AND KEYBOARDS (YOUTH) Students will be taught the basics of playing music on the piano/keyboard.

Topics include: basic notes, rhythm and theory as well as finger exercises, chords and scales, all with the goal of being able to play basic keyboard accompaniment parts and fun songs. Keyboards will be provided for students in class. However, students will need a keyboard at home for practice. Recommended resources

for purchasing or renting a keyboard will be provided at the first class.

CONTINUING PIANO (YOUTH) This is a follow up class to Beg. Piano. Students will work on music rudi-ments and songs both as a group as well as receive some individual in-struction. This class is designed to keep a student active in their musical development in an affordable, low-pressure, and fun environment.

KARATE (KENPO) - LEVEL 1 Learn a beginning form of martial arts that promotes respect, self esteem, leadership and self-confidence. This class teaches the techniques of kicking, punching, blocking, striking and self-defense. Karate uniforms not required, but are available through the instructor. Classes are taught by highly-qualified instructors with 2nd-5th degree Black Belts.

*Students are required to take our Karate Kenpo Level 1 class before registering for our Level 2/3 class.

This class continues teaching the techniques of kicking, punching, blocking, striking and self-defense while adding elbow & knee strikes, multiple combinations, intermediate forms and inter-mediate self-defense techniques. Karate uniforms not required, but are available through the instructor.
