2 | THEPRESS.NET BEST OF OAKLEY JULY 2009

THE OAKLEY PRESS IS PROUD TOpresent the 2009 Best of Oakley as vot-

ed by our readers. Inside you’ll fi nd nearly 150 categories describing the best places to get your car fi xed, fi nd a meal for under $10 or take a visitor to show off your home town. Who are the snappiest pizza delivery guys, who’s a reliable electrician, and where should you go to get those pearly whites polished? You’ll fi nd them right here.

As Oakley’s population continues to grow, the options for where to get the things you need and want can get bewil-deringly large, too. Take the advice of your friends and neighbors who cast thousands of votes for their favorite spots and use this lineup to fi nd the best goods and services Oakley has to offer. If you were among our dedicated voters, compare your picks with those of your fellow balloteers – you might fi nd some gems you didn’t know existed.

Look for the distinctive Best of Oakley 2009 star on the door of local establish-ments and know they’ve been painstakingly singled out as the stars of the community.

Welcome to the Best

EVERY YEAR, WE WAIT ON THE receiving end of all those Best of

Oakley ballots like surfers paddling prostrate on their boards, bracing for the monster wave building up and bearing down on them. We know we’re about to take a wild ride – and we wouldn’t

have it any other way. Thousands of votes were cast by you and meticulously counted by us. Thanks to everyone who took the time to fi ll out a ballot, three of whom were $100 winners of our random drawing. From left to right, they are: Christine Kriston, who plans on

cashing in her winnings by taking her kids out on the town; Larry Malicoat, who’ll be sinking his $100 into helping his daughter reupholster her truck; and Kathy Dickson, whose taste for spending gravitates toward going out for a special dinner. Congratulations, everyone!
