Presidents MessageJust Another Year of FABULOUS!
As we celebrate our 77th
birthday, lets remember that our
similarities are what brought us together, but it is our
differences that make us FABULOUS!
First, our similarities: many Beta Zetas are overachievers in
the field of education. We have strong beliefs, we are self-
assured, and we are communicators. Our women have
empathy for others: we want to include everyone, and at the
same time we expect harmony in our group. Beta Zetas are
life-long learners who want to maximize our potential. At each
meeting we see women with positivity who relate well to
others AND have organizational talents! Im talking about
women who can cook, write, sing, cheerlead, AND decorate! Then again, we have our differences: some of us are
adaptable, yet many of us do not easily accept change. Some
of us are deliberate, and others go with the flow. Some are
competitive while others run away from the competition.
Some can command an audience, while others of us would
rather NOT! When we admit that we are not as self-assured
on the inside as on the outside, our members build us up!
To remain connected and to grow, we have to encourage
and appreciate our members strengths, especially those
whose gifts differ from our own! I am in awe of women who
are analytical, disciplined, strategic, and responsible because Iam none of the above! I need help getting going! We have
many members who are activators and arrangers; they
encourage and inspire those of us who are too relaxed or
depressed. Ladies, THANK YOU, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY
HEART! As long as we seek to understand, value, and welcome
each others strengths and differences, Beta Zeta sisters, we
will be FABULOUS! Heres to another year! Tammy Vitek
