Jesus knew He would be Betrayed:

Matthew 17:22-23 NKJV Now while they were staying

in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into

the hands of men, (23) and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised

up." And they were exceedingly sorrowful.

Jesus knew He would be Betrayed:

Matt. 20:18-19 "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they

will condemn Him to death, (19) and deliver Him to the Gentiles to

mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day

He will rise again."

Matthew 10:1-4 NKJV And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. John 6:66-71 NKJV From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. (67) Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?" (68) But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. (69) Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

John 6:66-71 continued (70) Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?" (71) He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

TUESDAY EVENING, APRIL 4, 30 AD:

Matthew 26:1-2 NKJV Now it came to pass,

when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that He said to His disciples, (2) “You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be

delivered up to be crucified.”

Matthew 26:3-4 NKJV Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, (4) and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him.

Matthew 26:5 NKJV But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.”

Matthew 26:14-16 NKJV Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests (15) and said, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?" And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. (16) So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.

(As prophesied in Zechariah 11:12; It was a contemptuous price. That of a male or female servant gored to death by an ox; Ex. 21:32. Equated to about 120 denarius.)

Jesus knew He would be Betrayed by Judas:

Matthew 26:21 NKJV Now as they were eating, He said, "Assuredly, I say

to you, one of you will betray Me."

Adam Clarke wrote, “O what is man! How little is even his utmost sincerity to be depended on! Jesus is abandoned by all! -even zealous Peter and loving John are among the fugitives! Was ever master so served by his scholars? Was ever parent so treated by his children? Is there not as much zeal and love among them all as might make one martyr for God and truth?

Alas! no. He had but twelve who professed inviolable attachment to him; one of these betrayed him, another denied him with oaths, and the rest run away and utterly abandon him to his implacable enemies! Are there not found among his disciples still,

1st. Persons who betray him and his cause?2dly. Persons who deny him and his people?3dly. Persons who abandon him, his people, his cause, and his truth?Reader! dost thou belong to any of these classes?
