The cost of draught beer has risen from 7.5 cents per ounce in 2001 to currently almost 12 cents per ounce. That is an increase of almost 40%. That is twice the rate of other consumer goods. It’s not the brewers fault. Their taxes, ingredients, distribution, & energy costs have all gone up.
When prices increase, quality is even more important. Now more than ever, you need to pour Better Beer.
PRICE WATCH Problem # 4:
You have many things to worry
about, you don't have time to make
sure that your lines are being
cleaned regularly and properly. It
takes over 60 minutes to clean 10
lines properly. Are your lines being
properly cleaned?
Problem # 5:
There is no government regulation
or qualification program for Draught
Service Technicians. The North
American Draught Service Industry
is full of techs who do not
understand draught systems, and
beer gas companies that do not
understand which gas blend you
need. Some do, but some don’t.
Does yours?
Problem # 1:
You pour the same brands as
everyone else. You may have one or
two unique brands on tap, but with
the surge in “Rotating” and
“Seasonal” taps, guests have
unprecedented access to an
expanding portfolio of beer.
Problem # 2:
Every 1% in spillage equals over
$1,000 in lost profit. The industry
“acceptable average” is 5-10% !
Spillage is caused by two things:
your staff or your broken system.
How much is this costing you?
Problem # 3:
When guests feel sick from drinking
bad draught, they think it’s from the
food they ate. Do you serve flat,
cloudy pints that “taste funny”?
Draught problems? You bet.
