Geology in continuous interaction with the Industry since 1988.
This interaction made the Geology graduates 100% employable and as
a result, Geology made its place among the most sought after
subjects in the Faculty of Science. o 2012- Vice Chancellor o 2012-

378 Old hostels of my university are over 60 years old. Roofs are
leaky. Old GI plumbing is rusted and need replacement. Toilets are
very unhygienic due to frequent breakdowns and leaks in sewage
lines. Therefore a total overhaul is essential. With addition of
the new hostels overhaul is now possible as students can be
evacuated . REHABILITATION PLAN FOR THE OLD HOSTELS Phase II

56. o The monthly cost of electricity often exceeded Rs. 15
million in the past. o In 2013 new measures were introduced to cut
down the cost of energy, without disturbing the progress of the
university. o Street illumination was reduced by one (01) hour and
strictly monitored. o Cooking and other unwarranted usages in
hostels were banned. o Incandescent bulbs were gradually replaced
by CFL bulbs. o Tariff changed from domestic to educational . This
could have been changed long time back. o Re-wiring of 70 year old
electrical system is underway. It will be completed in mid 2016.
