Special Educational Needs and Disability
SEND at Heartlands High School1. Information is passed on from primary school and shared with all
teachers with regard to Key Stage 2 performance and a history of need.
2. We support our students in class with a large team of support staff, specialists and external professionals.
3. We ask parents to share with us any concerns that they might have regarding difficulties their children are having.
4. We have many small groups that are run during the day and after school to support catch up. This is similar to primary school.
5. Students are identified and are assessed by us and by professionals in Haringey.
Enrichment
Enrichment at Heartlands High School
● Tuesdays and Thursdays 3.10-4.10pm● Some activities on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays as well● Wide ranging offer of societies, sports clubs and creative projects● Not compulsory but we strongly encourage students to sign up to at
least one activity per week ● Enrichment booklet and sign up form to be sent home shortly● Students select top 3. I will then assign students to clubs and notify
them which one they have been given and start date.
