Innovative Engineers’ and Teachers’ Education Society’s BHARAT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, BADLAPUR (W) DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER Seminar on Data Science and Machine Learning Department of Computer Engineering has created a platform to enhance the technical skills of the students by arranging the seminar on latest technology. We had a guest lecture by renowned professor from esteemed organisation. Department of Computer Engineering (BCOE) organized a one day seminar on “Data Science & Machine Learning” on 12th of February 2019, for all the Branches. The speaker for the seminar was Prof. Pranav Nerulkar, who is working in VJTI as a Professor. The session was divided into two parts mainly. 1. Data Science & Growth in DS. 2. Machine Learning. Data Science & Growth in DS The 1 st session was dedicated at, guiding the students in making better career choices in Data Science including information about the possible upcoming opportunities present in IT sector. The speaker explained students about upcoming trends and applications present in this field. The speaker also explained students, what programming languages should they learn and what technologies they should practise for growth in this field. The speaker has good experience of academics and the words of guidance proved to be the master stroke for many students. The session included students from all branch of all years. Machine Learning The second session was all about Machine Learning. The speaker has worked on ML technologies like R-language, Matlab, Python and many more. The speaker delivered the basic knowledge about those technologies and also explained students about applications of these technologies. Further he explained the basics Machine Learning algorithms.
