A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
Bharathiar School of Management and Entrepreneur Development (BSMED) was established in the year 1984 to impart value
based education in the field of management with the aim of creating global leaders and entrepreneurs. The MBA Programme
offered by BSMED is structured to fulfill the demands of the corporate sector and also scattered to the needs of the society.
Through the flagship event “AXIS”, BSMED integrates academia, industry and alumni. Apart from academic training and
practices, social values are inculcated within the students through various activities. BSMED has the pride of being the onlyB-
school in India invited to participate in the Global start up program in the year 2004 at National University, Singapore, along with
business schools from Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, California, Rotterdam. In the year 2009 BSMED celebrated its 25th year
of Excellence. The School had a grand carnival of the Silver Jubilee with the august presence of eminent personalities like Shri
Kishore Biyani, Chairman Futures Group and Shri Sainath Radhakrishnan, Director, RBS Group, India. BSMED is the only B-
School in India to secure membership in the “Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow”, the 21st century
organization (ABEST 21), Tokyo, Japan.
The world would be facing intense pressure on resources, a big shift in global power, and a completely different way of
doing global business. There will be a remarkable shift in the quality of human life with innovative products and services.
Business Enterprises will have diverse and life transforming technologies for their process and operations. With
accelerating advances in technology as well as rapid changes in the political, social and economic landscapes of the world,
long-term planning will be crucial for a company's continued success. The success (or failure) of a high-tech organization
depends on its ability to establish business strategy road maps to predict as well as create next-generation products for its
consumers. As the Global economy is changing at a much faster and unreliable pace, so there is a need to reorganize and
rejuvenate the business models and the frame work. Hence, the conference aims at exploring innovative and futuristic
business strategies obligatory for sustainable growth. Academicians, practitioners and research scholars are invited to
present their views on various potential challenges and opportunities in the business spheres.
Bharathiar University named after the great national poet Subramania Bharathi enshrined with the motto
“Educate to Elevate” was established in the year 1982. The University is situated at the backdrop of
Maruthamalai Hills in the Western Ghats range, in a sprawling campus of 1000 acres of land, 15 kms from the city
of Coimbatore. The University aims at value addition in knowledge, skills and creative attitude among the youth
for societal transformation and national development. The vision of the university is to provide internationally
comparable quality higher education to the entrants. The University has been accredited with “A” grade by NAAC nd and in the year 2009 it was ranked 2 among the top ten Indian Institutions.

A Few selected papers will be considered for publication in an edited volume. A paper should not have more than two authors. An author can not send more than two papers. Papers in absentia are accepted from foreign delegates.

The registration fee includes conference kit, tea, lunch and conference proceeding in CD format.
Payment should be made through Demand draft drawn in favor of Bharathiar Management Association in any nationalized bank payable at Coimbatore. Registration form can be downloaded from the website.
Accommodation in the campus can be arranged for the delegates on request and on payment basis.
To unwind after the conference, you have an option here to visit places like Kovai Kourtalam, Siruvani falls, Monkey
falls, Valparai hills, Botanical garden and Suzlon wind mill. Maruthamalai, Eachanari Vinayagar temple are religious
places you can visit. Amusement parks, Black Thunder and Kovai Kondattam are within the short reach of the city.
Coimbatore city is strategically located at the junction of the three modern southern states Tamil Nadu, Kerala and
Karnataka. This friendly city has a salubrious climate and surrounded by major tourist spots, has always been a
natural favorite with international tourists. The scenic hill stations of Ooty, Munnar, the historic temples of Perur,
Palani and the nearby exciting Kerala with its enchanting backwaters and ayurvedic health resorts to name a few
are all a couple of hours drive.
