elcome to the last edition of BiP Insight for 2015, and what has yet again been a very busy and productive year for BiP Solutions. As outlined within this edition, in typical BiP fashion the pace has by no means slowed as we work towards the end of the calendar year and prepare for the final months ahead within our current financial year. Event season has been very much upon us lately, and it was great to see the launch of our new event brand the Local Government Procurement Expo (LGPE) in mid-November, which attracted over 750 attendees – a great achievement for an inaugural event and certainly a solid foundation to build upon moving forward. As always, I’m aware that successful delivery of our event season is very much down to a collaborative effort across all areas of the business, therefore I would like to thank you all for your consistent focus and efforts in relation to the overall 2015 programme. As many of you will also be aware, our Commercial Team have been flying the BiP flag globally, through delivery of international projects including recently in South Africa. This once again truly demonstrates BiP’s global standing and footprint. I would also like to especially highlight and congratulate the quarterly OCA winners, Lynne Scott and Leigh McEwan, who have deservedly been recognised for going above and beyond in relation to the delivery of our ongoing objectives. Finally, I would like to personally wish you all the very best for the forthcoming festive season and I very much look forward to continuing our ongoing development work, moving into 2016. Marketing Automation extends beyond Marketing

BiP reaches new milestonest has been a hectic year for theCharity team with many changesin its members. Both Alison

Campbell and Ross Herdman left theteam, as their time at BiP Marketingcame to an end. However, the team’snumbers were once again bolstered asthey were joined by Business GrowthAdvisor Amanda Dunsmore, EventsCoordinator Nicole Taylor and MediaResearcher Donald MacInnes.

The team welcomed the extra help as itprepared for the busy autumn/winter months.Festivities kicked off with the HalloweenSpooky Spectacular children’s event, held in BiPGround Floor North. Here BiP friends andfamily enjoyed spooky games, story time, raffles, tombola, and cake and candy. The event raised afabulous £695 for the Realising DreamsFoundation.

Building upon this success, the team beganplanning its Christmas Fête on 4 December, which saw the BiP training room transformedinto a Winter Wonderland. The Fête allowed

BiP staff to indulge in festivebaking, games, a Christmas jumpercompetition, raffle and tombola. Allthis raised a further £535 for theRealising Dreams Foundation, takingthe Charity team’s 2015 total to£12,550.

Charity team member Johan Kerrsaid: “This has been a great year for theCharity team, during which we have beenbusy running events and collectingdonations from BiP functions.

“The team are very proud to haveraised so much for the RealisingDreams Foundation, who will use itto enrich the lives of children andyouths in Glasgow andbeyond.

“These opportunities wouldnot have been realisedwithout the support of ourcolleagues, friends, familyand BiP event attendees, whohave our unreserved thanks.”

December 2015

n November, access to the PardotMarketing Automation tool wasrolled out across the Tracker and

DCI front end sales teams. Sales and marketing alignment will increasethrough Pardot’s functions, shortening the salescycle and increasing productivity, conversion ratesand yield. Pardot will also assist BiP BGAs toengage with customers on a truly personal level. It will do this by improving:

• Visibility – BGAs now have the ability tomonitor prospects’ online behaviour from websitepage visits, content downloads and portal sign-upsPLUS BGAs now have access to all emailcommunications sent to prospects from Marketing and knowwhether a prospect has open/read/clicked a link on the email. • Lead Scoring – Every interaction a prospect has with BiP’sonline assets will be given a score depending on the

type of interaction. This score will be added up overtime until they become ‘marketing qualified’. Oncequalified, the prospect will be assigned to Sales – asthese nurtured leads are educated in our products, they will be more likely to convert to a sale.

• LeadDeck & Email Alerts – BGAs now haveaccess to Pardot LeadDeck which displays real-timealerts of prospects’ online activity. This is furtherreinforced with email notifications sent to BGAsfrom Pardot alerting them when their prospectsvisit our website, download content etc.

Integrated Campaign Marketing Manager LindsayTempleman said: “These are just the first steps in the

test and learn phase of the Pardot Implementation Project. Our long-term objective is to increase Sales productivity by reducing

lead volume and increasing lead quality, which in turn will increaseconversion rates and drive more revenue!”
