Electric Vehicle Charging Station Grant

Funding is available to assist with installation for businesses and multi-family residences. Approved grant recipients will receive up to 80% of the cost of a charging station up to the amounts listed in the table below.

Please see the Definitions and Requirements listed in Section IV of the Application Guide for more information on charging station type. Appli-cations for grant funding are due by February 15, 2019 by 5 p.m.

Funding is provided by Charge Ahead Colorado (CAC) which was devel-oped to incentivize the widespread, early adoption of electric vehicles and provide geographically dispersed charging at key locations to ad-dress the charging availability of the mo-toring public.

The Town of Fraser was awarded funding through this program to install its first public charging station in the parking lot of The Foundry in 2018. We are happy to support any local businesses or multi-family residences with the application pro-cess. Free Dumpster Stickers for Local Businesses

Are you tired of finding trash in your dumpsters that you didn’t put there? We have stickers below

that you can pick up for free at Town Hall to inform those fine people that not only is it illegal to toss

their trash in your business’s dumpster but that they can take it to The Drop. Only one set of stickers

per business as supplies last.

Incentives for Affordable Housing

The Fraser Town Board has identified housing a policy priority. Like many Colorado mountain com-

munities, the lack of sufficient housing is impacting quality of life and economic development in the

Fraser Valley. Accordingly, the Town Board is providing this policy to outline the Town’s interest in

working with our development community to help mitigate these challenges.

The Town of Fraser has provided the following incentives for residential development:

• Resolution 2016-10-05 providing for the Attainable Housing Plant Investment Fee Incentive Pro-

gram

• Ordinance 436 amending the Plant Investment Fee (PIF) Schedule to include, among other

amendments, the following:

-Reduced PIF for apartments and mixed use developments

-Reduced PIF for Accessory Dwelling Units

-Collection of PIF at Certificate of Occupancy versus Building Permit

-Reduced service fees during construction

• Reduced parking requirements for multi-family dwelling units

The Fraser Town Board believes that providing a variety of housing within the community for em-

ployees and families is an important component of com-

munity character, sense of community, and sustainability.

Accordingly, the Fraser Town Board is seeking proposals

for collaborative partnerships to address community hous-

ing. Proposals that provide for long term provision of com-

munity, workforce, employee, and/or attainable housing

may be eligible for concessions such as property tax re-

bates, use tax waivers, plant investment fee waivers or

deferrals, service fee waivers during construction, devel-

opment review fee rebates, density bonuses, parking

waivers, grants, and other such incentives.

Annexation proposals that would provide for multi-family, smaller homes, and/or apartments will be

favorably considered.

Proposals must be consistent with Town of Fraser plans and policies and are subject to the discre-

tion of the Town Board.

Interested parties should submit proposals to the Fraser Town Manager. The Housing Task Force

and Town Board commit to an initial response within 45 days.

Christmas Tree Dropoff

Time to get rid of your Christmas tree? You can drop off your Christmas tree at the designated drop off area anytime at 855 County Road 731 right behind the High Country Stampede Rodeo grounds.

For directions click here. Please see restrictions below. There is no charge to drop off your tree.

Since the tree bark and branches will be consumed by goats, only trees that have NOT been sprayed by any chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides) are acceptable to be dropped off at this location for disposal. Christmas trees purchased at Murdoch’s or any lo-cally harvested forest trees are acceptable. If you purchased a Christmas tree at any other

location, please do not drop off your tree at this location.

A huge thanks to the Kotrba Family for providing this service to the Fraser Valley Community and helping to keep Christmas trees out of the landfill!

Public Works

We are preparing bid documents to advertise two bids for waterline replacements for Doc Susie and Byers Avenues going out by end of January.

Currently working on updating the water master plan to better accommodate future development and augmentation plans.

A new design committee has been formed to work towards the next steps for Cozens Ranch Open Space capital projects.

Our Street Operators are keeping busy with clearing snow and managing snow storage areas.

Fraser’s utility crew has been conducting maintenance in the Town’s water plants. This has included re-plumbing of continuous monitoring stations and greasing/oiling of pump motors. Ongoing projects include the Town’s backflow program and preparations for the 2019 water monitoring schedule.
