Basic Understanding of the Philadelphian Church Period:• It is really nothing more than the King James Bible getting into the hands of the Bible believers, and them taking it to the ends of the world.•Whereas the domination of the RCC during the Thyatira and Sardis Church periods threw the world into utter darkness, with the entrance of the King James Bible into the world, it threw the world into blazing light!

(Rev 3:8) I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for

thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not

denied my name.

(Gen 9:25-27) And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his

servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall

dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his

servant.

All of these men served in the greatest time of God’s power in

church history and never did any of these men speak in an unknown tongue, or exercise the gift of healing. They just

believed God and Preached the Word of God

(Rev 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door, and

knock: if any man hear my voice, and

open the door, I will come in to him, and

will sup with him, and he with me.

Page 17: Biblical Church History

WHY DID THE DOOR CLOSE?

Page 18: Biblical Church History

What actually opened the door was 2 English speaking nations got the King James Bible in their hands and they fell in love with it, and it became the “key of David” in their hands to unlock the spread of the Gospel into the nation across the globe.

So if the “Door” was open through that Book what do you think closed the “Door”?

Satan has always countered and counterfeited the movement of God.

What he was unable to accomplish through physical persecution, he has accomplished through:

1. Counterfeit Bibles2. Religion 3. Education

State of the dead. Seventh-day Adventists believe that death is a sleep during which the "dead know nothing" (Ecclesiastes 9:5). This view maintains that the person has no conscious form of existence until the resurrection, either at the second coming of Jesus (in the case of the righteous) or after the millennium of Revelation 20 (in the case of the wicked). Because of this view, Seventh-day Adventists do not believe hell currently exists and believe further that the wicked will be destroyed at the end of time.

Christian Science

Page 34: Biblical Church History

Founded by Mary Baker Eddy in Boston in 1866 Basic Beliefs• The fundamental distinctive teaching of Christian Science is that creation is entirely spiritual and perfect and matter does not exist. Sin, sickness and death also do not exist; we only think they do. "The only reality of sin, sickness, or death is the awful fact that unrealities seem real to human, erring belief, until God strips off their disguise" (Science and Health, 472:27-29).

PHILADELPHIa

Page 35: Biblical Church History

These core teachings are encapsulated in the "Scientific Statement of Being," which is read at every church service:• There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter.• All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all.• Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error.• Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal.• Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness.• Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual. (S&H 468)

In 1881 when B.F. Westcott and F. J. A. Hort released their Greek New Testament witch was built on the Vaticanus and Sinaiticus manuscripts, England switched from the KJV Bible to the Revised Version of the Bible. This bible was translated from the linage of Greek manuscripts that go all the way through the RCC to , to Eusuebuis, Pamphilus, to Origen

In 1901 America published the “American Standard” bible. This is the Bible that scholars say is the most (so-called) accurate We went from believe that God had given every man the Word of God to us trusting scholarship to tell us what is the “real” truth is and the “Shut the Door”

Concerning the Deity of

Christ"He never speaks of Himself directly as God, but the aim of His revelation was

to lead men to see God in Him." (Westcott, The Gospel According to St.

John, p. 297). "(John) does not expressly affirm the identification of the Word with Jesus Christ." (Westcott,

Ibid., p. 16).

Page 47: Biblical Church History

Concerning the

Scriptures:"I reject the infallibility of Holy

Scriptures overwhelmingly." (Westcott, The Life and Letters of Brook Foss

Westcott, Vol. I, p.207)."Evangelicals seem to me perverted. . .There are, I fear, still more serious differences between us on the subject of authority,

especially the authority of the Bible." (Hort, The Life and Letters of Fenton John

Anthony Hort, Vol. I, p.400)

Page 48: Biblical Church History

Concerning Hell

"(Hell is) not the place of punishment of the guilty, (it

is) the common abode of departed spirits. (Westcott,

Historic Faith, pp.77-78)

Page 49: Biblical Church History

Concerning Creation

"No one now, I suppose, holds that the first three chapters of Genesis, for example,

give a literal history. I could never understand how anyone reading them with open eyes could think they did." (Westcott,

cited from Which Bible?, p. 191)."But the book which has most engaged me is Darwin. Whatever may be thought of it, it is a

book that one is proud to be contemporary with..... My feeling is strong that the theory

is unanswerable." (Hort, cited from Which Bible?, p. 189)

Page 50: Biblical Church History

Concerning the

Atonement"I confess I have no repugnance to the primitive doctrine of a ransom paid to Satan. I can see no other possible form

in which the doctrine of a ransom is at all tenable; anything is better than the doctrine of a ransom to the father." (Hort, The First Epistle of St. Peter 1:1-

2:17, p. 77).

Page 51: Biblical Church History

Concerning Roman

Catholicism"The pure Romanish view seems to be

nearer, and more likely to lead to the truth than the Evangelical." p. 77

"I have been persuaded for many years that Mary-Worship and Jesus-Worship have very much in

common." (Hort, Life and Letters, Volume II, pp. 49-51) (Hort, Life and

Letters, Vol. I,
