c. NUTS AND WASHERS SHALL HAVE A PROOF LOAD STRENGTHAT LEAST AS STRONG AS ANCHOR ROD. STAINLESS STEEL NUTSAND WASHERS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH STAINLESS STEEL RODS.

B. ANCHORS INSTALLATION1. ANCHORS OF THE SIZE AND EMBEDMENT SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS

SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS,THE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS, AND THE MANUFACTURER'SCURRENT EVALUATION (ICC-ES OR IAPMO-ES) REPORT FOR THE ANCHOR.IF CONFLICTS EXIST BETWEEN THESE REFERENCED DOCUMENTS, THEMOST STRINGENT REQUIREMENTS SHALL GOVERN.

2. THE INSTALLER SHALL LOCATE ALL EXISTING REINFORCING STEEL ANDOTHER EMBEDDED ITEMS CONTAINED IN THE CONCRETE USING NON-DESTRUCTIVE METHODS AND SHALL POSITION ANCHOR LOCATIONS TOAVOID CONFLICTS WITH EXISTING EMBEDDED ITEMS.

3. BASED ON FIELD VERIFIED LOCATIONS OF REINFORCING STEEL ANDEMBEDDED ITEMS, THE INSTALLER SHALL CREATE TEMPLATES FOR EACHANCHOR GROUP. SUBMIT TEMPLATE DIMENSIONS FOR REVIEW PRIOR TOFABRICATION OF CONNECTION PLATES.

4. HOLES FOR ANCHORS SHALL BE DRILLED IN A CONTINUOUS OPERATIONUSING THE DRILL-BIT TYPE AND SIZE RECOMMENDED BY THE ANCHORMANUFACTURER. HOLES SHALL BE DRILLED PERPENDICULAR TO THECONCRETE SURFACE AND SHALL NOT BE ENLARGED OR REDIRECTED ATANY POINT ALONG ITS LENGTH. HOLES SHALL BE DRILLED USING A HAMMERDRILL, CORING SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.

5. OIL FREE COMPRESSED AIR SHALL BE USED TO BLOW OUT THE HOLES;SHOP VACS, SQUEEZE BULBS, ETC. SHALL NOT BE USED. REFER TOMANUFACTURER'S INFORMATION FOR DETAILED CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS.

6. ALL ABANDONED HOLES SHALL BE FILLED WITH NON-METALLIC NONSHRINKGROUT CAPABLE OF REACHING A DESIGN COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF5000 PSI AT 28 DAYS.

7. HOLES IN CONNECTION PLATES SHALL BE NO MORE THAN 1/16" LARGERTHAN THE ANCHOR DIAMETER. IF LARGER HOLES ARE REQUIRED FORERECTION PURPOSES, INSTALLER SHALL NOTIFY ENGINEER SUCH THAT APLATE WASHER SIZE CAN BE PROVIDED.
