HI-DE-HO-HO-HO
Maybe Cab Calloway should have made a record titled
Hi-De-Ho-Ho-Ho? He was halfway there with his hi-de-hos!
But we digress…..
At the small mall in our hometown of Alliance, Ohio, they
used to hire a Santa Claus to let the boys and girls sit on his
lap and tell him their hopes for Christmas presents.
You may think that the two “kids” in the picture above are a
little but old to be sitting with Santa, but we weren’t there to try
to ask for anything, other than the photo. We thought that
Santa Claus resembled our Father, though the picture didn’t
seem to capture that look at all.
Nonetheless, we wish you and yours a merry Christmas
and happy New Year, and hope your stockings are packed
with big band music!

To start off, here is something unique and extra special…
Courtesy of Jawn McKinley-Neville,
above is a copy of an original Christmas card
sent to friends by her parents,
Ray and Gretchen McKinley,
when Ray was overseas during World War II.
We thank Jawnie for sharing this
wonderful artifact with us,
and giving us the opportunity
to allow others to enjoy it as well!
