The BALULE in the famous Lowveld of north eastern South Africa, the SABIE CONSERVANCY in Southern Mozambique and the LUANGWA and KAFUE areas in Zambia all offer real big game hunting opportunities for TRUE FREE RANGE animals in WILDERNESS AREAS.

We have hunted The Balule, Mozambique and Zambia for many years and our hunters consistently have unbelievable experiences in these vast and diverse areas, hunting big game.

The Balule in the Lowveld and the Sabie conservancy in southern Mozambique are easily combined with a plains game hunt in both the Umkomaas and Baviaansriver areas.

Depending on the time available we can combine your big game hunt with the beach house, fishing and relaxing and some unbelievable free range plains game hunting in the Baviaansriver and Umkomaas areas.

THE BALULECrusader Safaris has secured the hunting rights on a significant portion of the Balule, this is a large unfenced area and forms a portion of the “Greater Kruger Conservancy.”
The Balule is part of the APNR (association of private nature reserves) that controls 650 000 acres of free range big game country on the west of Kruger. Buffalo, Elephant and all the big 5 occur naturally in the Balule.
The camp is a typical rustic hunting camp, luxury chalets and an authentic atmosphere add to this big game hunt.
This large unfenced wilderness area, famous for its big game hunting compliments our free range hunting areas in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal with its diversity and trophy quality.

SABIE MOZAMBIQUEThe Sabie area of southern Mozambique is a magnificent free-range area with some of the best Buffalo, Leopard and plains game hunting in all of Africa.
Ideal habitat, great genes, strict quotas and a very successful anti-poaching operation all ensures that the trophy quality and experience when hunting this vast free-range wilderness area is consistently the best in Southern Africa.
A commercial flight to Maputo from Johannesburg, the luxurious camp is a 3 hour drive from the Maputo airport. Big game fishing, the beach house and a easy 6 hour drive from the free range Umkomaas conservancy makes the Sabie area in Southern Mozambique a very good option.

ZAMBIACrusader Safaris hunts two different regions of Zambia, the Kafue in west Zambia and the Luangwa valley in east Zambia.
The Kafue region is predominantly open plains, miombo woodlands and sand forest. The biggest Sable in Africa, Roan, Sitatunga, Defassa Waterbuck, Lion and Leopard all are native to this wild, unfenced wilderness area.
The famous Luangwa valley, historically one of the iconic hunting areas of Africa with ever changing fauna and flora is a diverse area well known for its cats, Buffalo, Cooksons Wildebeest, Chobe Bushbuck and many more species naturally occurring in Zambia. The Luangwa is a mixture of mopane woodlands, acacia and thickly wooded river beds.
Our camps in these vast wilderness areas are all luxury tented camps or authentic African lodges and have the atmosphere that is expected when hunting big game in the best concessions in Zambia.

FREE RANGE PLAINS GAMECrusader Safaris is a unique South African outfit, offering true FREE RANGE hunting in three large unfenced conservancies for exceptional trophy quality animals where they are indigenous and have always occurred.
The Balule and the Sabie areas where we hunt Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard and Lion are all within easy driving distance from the Umkomaas conservancy and a short flight from the Baviaansriver concervancy. The beach house on the Indian ocean and our free range hunting areas in South Africa all offer great add on options to the big game hunting in the Balule and the Sabie.
INDIAN OCEAN BEACH HOUSE When hunting the Sabie area in southern Mozambique or the Balule in north eastern south Africa a few days relaxing, big game fishing and indulging in the famous sea food can be enjoyed. Combining the beach house with a Buffalo or Leopard hunt or as a stopover on the way to the Umko is always a good option and adds to the experience.
The Indian ocean coastline of southern Mozambique is untouched and undeveloped. Great weather all year round, big game fishing, seafood and a very relaxing atmosphere the beach house is close to the small village of Ponta do Oura. It is a short drive to Maputo where you can connect to Johannesburg or 6 hours from the Umkomaas conservancy in KwaZulu Natal.
