BIITM, Bhubaneswar is arguably one of the largest B-Schools in eastern India with an intake capacity of 240 students per batch in the MBA programme. The MBA programme of BIITM is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and is affiliated to BPUT, Odisha. Over the last 2 decades BIITM has been recognized as a standard bearer and has received accolades from many quarters. It has been adjudged as the Best Management College in Odisha by Odisha Education Award 2019. The B-School was awarded the Best Disciplined B-School by News 18 Network. The sterling placement record of the B-School over the years has been recognized by CMAI which awarded BIITM the trophy of Best Training & Placement Institute. PRINCIPAL’S DESKOur MBA Curriculum offers an exhaustive range of choices for the students. In the second year of the programme, students have the option to choose double specializations in functional areas like Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations Management & Systems Management. Apart from a diligent pursuit of a rigorous academic schedule, every student needs to spend a mandatory 45 days stint in a corporate house constituting Summer Internship Programme (SIP) in order to get a look and feel of industry's functions on a day-today basis, thereby ensuring a holistic learning.Every student during the academic year is mentored by a faculty member to inculcate a comprehensive view, indeed a big picture of the road ahead. This will help them in facing quietly and calmly the disruptive technologies and challenges in the work environment. Every student will be exposed to a plethora of courses to ensure their cognitive development apart from providing them skills, concepts and values to perform in their organizational role.Organizations from a diverse pool have in the past recruited our students in various roles and functions ranging from Strategy and Core Consulting to Operations, Marketing and Finance. Dynamic Teaching :- The focus is to stimulate a cohesive learning environment consisting of a broad theoretical framework, role play, business simulations & business quiz reinforced through participative learning. The aim of these methodologies is to produce managers with cross functional skills & cultivate in them a sense of team building & synergy. Case Study Approach :- The case study approach followed by leading & international B-Schools is being pursued with passion in BIITM. It helps to simulate & recreate the leadership & management situations of the corporate fraternity. Project Assignment :- The complexity of business environment requires an organization to hire leaders with not only strong managerial skills but also high Emotional Quotient & leadership effectiveness. One project for each semester and the Summer Internship Programme develops an authentic & humanistic leadership style in the students.

Workshops :- Workshops help students to learn, assimilate & discover technical nuances & applied knowledge in an interactive way. We conduct a workshop every month to focus on managerial skills development of students & to provide critical insights in the area of Marketing, Finance, HR, IT& OM.

Guest lectures :- In order to have a proper blend of academics & current industry requirements scenario, the institute invites academicians and Corporate czars from time to time to rejuvenate & revitalize the learning curve.

Saturday chill out Activities :- In BIITM, Saturdays are meant for infotainment. SIP (Summer Internship Programme) is a 6-7 weeks' training programme which every student of BIITM is required to undertake in a reputed organization of his/her choice as a part of the course curriculum after the end of the second semester. SIP provides an opportunity to every student to gain practical exposure to an organization's functioning and allows them to correlate the conceptual and analytical skills acquired in the classroom in a real wore corporate environment. The students shall complete a project which is expected to give them deep insight and understanding of the functional area of their choice while also adding value to the organization they are working with. Corporate India has recognized and appreciated the quality and potential of BIITM students over the past few years. The profiles offered for SIPs include Market Research, Consumer Behaviour, Sales & Operations, Distribution Channel Management, Inventory Management, Security & Portfolio Management, Mutual Funds & Financial Analysis, HR practices including Employee Engagement, Retail Management, Competency Mapping, Trend Analysis, and the like. FINAL PLACEMENT

BIITM has an immaculate record of achieving good

placements every year. Placement activity of BIITM has been

faring spectacularly, breaking all the previous records both in

terms of numbers and pay packages. BIITM provides total

business solution, where the business houses recruit a future

business leader who lives by the value of excellence and

integrity. Placement team, student volunteers and faculty

members stay in close touch with the recruitment team

during campus process. BIITM provides the requisite

infrastructure including audio-visual systems, multiple

conference rooms and syndicate rooms to carry out Pre-

placement talks, GDs and Interviews. The highest salary

package for the year 2018 has gone up to 6.66 lakhs per

annum. In the current year, 52 companies visited BIITM

campus and 174 offers were generated. BIITM again holds a

record of excellent placement since its inception.
