Justification for Topic

• Being politically aware is important

• It is important in every country to involve young people in decision making

• It is important to get them understand that they have the power to influence on the common things

Social & Personal Competence

• Working in groups & teams enforces social comptencies

• In this type of project all students would have to communicate and take personal responsibility

• Teacher would be acting as coach & support

• All students would be empovered to finish the given assingments

First Lesson / Structure (90 min)

• Greetings (present or not) / 10 min

• Intoduction to the project by teacher / 15 min• Video & introducing the facebook group (e.g. valtikka.fi)

• Orientation group work in 2-4 person groups / 45 min• Topic: What is good event & why?

• What is bad event & why?

• Tools: iPads (

• Apps: e.g. Popplet Lite -> mindmap tool

• Mindmaps will be posted in Moodle / Facebook group

• Presentations / 20 min

Second Lesson (draft)

• Getting to know the political parties

• Creating the project plan & creating the teams

• Starting the blog
