Teams granted an invitation to compete will be given access to enter online at Direct Athletics (DirectAthletics.com). Entries will not be accepted by telephone, fax, or e-mail. Teams may enter up to 12 athletes; requests for exceptions to this policy should be sent to the meet director. A limited number of open/unattached entries will be accepted in order to enhance the meet. Interested individuals must contact the meet director to request an invitation to compete BEFORE the entry deadline. Not all requests will be granted an invitation, meet management reserves the right to select which entries will be accepted. No high school athletes will be accepted. Entry Deadline All entries are due online at DirectAthletics.com by 5:00 p.m. PST on Monday, September 25. Entry Fee Structure Entry fees are $150 per team, per gender (i.e. $150 for women, $150 for men) and will be collected at packet pick-up. Unattached entry fee is $5. Cash or checks only; make checks payable to University of Oregon. Packet Pick-up Team packets will be available on Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., or on Friday morning at the finish line. Packets will include racing bibs, chips and other general information. Course Description The Springfield Golf Club, one of Oregon’s premier golf courses, will be the site of the Bill Dellinger Invitational. Athletes will race entirely on grass and mostly on fairways. The course consists of two relatively flat loops—an outer loop, and a finish loop. The outer loop is approximately 2320 meters in length, and the finishing loop is approximately 1350 meters in length. Spikes are recommended for competition. Men will run 8,000m, women 6,000m. Course Records Women’s 6,000m: Kendra Schaaf, Washington 19:24.05, 2008 Men’s 8,000m: Galen Rupp, Oregon 22:55.14, 2008 Sports Medicine Athletic trainers will be present at the course on Thursday during practice, and then beginning two hours prior to race time on Friday. Requests for use of training modalities must be made in advance to ATC Grant Wilson ([email protected]).
