Is it antimicrobial?

BioClad is the world’s first cladding system to include Biocote technology that eliminates superbugs like MRSA and E.Coli ensuring a cleaner safer environment.

Do you know what the ‘active ingredient is?’

BioClad contains Silver Ion Technology, a proven antimicrobial ingredient that is safe, natural and sustainable. Silver has been used for centuries for its abilities to aid preservation, for example, the ancient Greeks used silver vessels to keep their water fresh and Chinese Emperors ate with silver chopsticks.

Do you know who manufactures the ‘active ingredient?’

BioCote is setting the industry standard for product testing and services. All products with BioCote® protection undergo extensive validation and quality control testing, ensuring they offer the highest degree of antimicrobial performance.

Can you prove the cladding contains the ‘active ingredient?’

BioClad can demonstrate the Biocote ingredient with our laser detector pen that illuminates only products containing our additives, giving you the knowledge that at any time we can validate any product in any location.

Can you guarantee it DOES NOT contain Triclosan?

BioClad does not contain Triclosan which is often incorporated in organic antimicrobial technology, using chemicals such as Triclosan. There is increasing concern about the chemicals being used in the environment and a belief they are a possible source of creat ing microbial resistance; the news items below show action against Triclosan.

Do you know what the cladding will do to superbugs?

BioClad has silver ion technology incorporated at the point of manufacture ensuring it is present throughout the product. This ensures that levels of bacteria are reduced by up to 99% in two hours, compared to an unprotected surface where they can proliferate at dramatic rates. Laboratory tests have repeatedly demonstrated the ability of BioCote protected products to inhibit the growth and formation of moulds and yeast.BioClad is effective against a broad spectrum of micro-organisms, including:

Our test are undertaken by independent laboratories and BioCote is leading the way in building a sound portfolio of evidence regarding the use of silver ion antimicrobial technology in a variety of environments. Our aim is to develop partnerships with academic institutes, NHS Trusts and private and public sector organizations to work together on research studies. BioClad is supplied and installed exclusively by Advanced Hygienic Contracting Ltd who both manufacture and install BioClad ensuring a seamless process from production to installation that gives you the knowledge that you have a single source of contact for all aspects from product specification to warranty.

Can you have a lifetime warranty?

BioClad is provided with an antimicrobial lifetime guaranteed that ensures its effectiveness against Superbugs will keep working for the lifetime of your building.
