In conclusion, our group proved our hypothesis right, because the deeper we went into the forest to collect data, the darker the flowers became. Our table shows that at 2 feet, there were only white flowers and at 10 feet, there were only dark purple flowers. When comparing our findings to those in the actual population, our results were very accurate. Next time we do a design lab with ecology, and we choose this same experiment, we should try to go farther back into the forest to find a completely shaded in area, because we found most of our data only 10 feet away from direct sunlight, and it wouldn’t prove to be an excellent representation of the entire population.
