Outline
Introduction
Prostate Cancer: Some Relevant facts
• Prostate cancer (PC) is the
second most diagnosed type of
cancer
• PC is the fifth leading cause of cancer
related death in men worldwide (most
frequent cause of cancer death in men
in developed countries)
• MRI techniques such as T2W, DW and
DCE can provide complementary
information about tissue texture,
cellularity and capillarity
ADAM Inc.
Purpose
Objective 1
Performing voxelwise multi-parametric analysis from T2W, DW
and DCE MR images to extract different imaging biomarkers
related with PC detection and grading.
Objective 2
Application of multi-variate analysis to create nosologic images
closer to clinical endpoints.

Results
Texture analysis: Kurtosis,
Skewness, Entropy.
Difussion analysis: ADC (mean,
perc25, perc 25 mean)
Perfusion analysis: Ktrans, kep

Conclusions
We developed a first software prototype capable of performing
voxelwise multi-parametric analysis from T2W, DW and DCE MRI
acquisitions and generate nosologic maps with multivariate
analysis
First prototype is currently being evaluated in La Fe Polytechnic
and University Hospital (n=30)
Feedback from radiologists stands that structured Reports provide
generated quantitative information in a more comprehensive way
Integration of PET studies in our developed technique can
complement multi-parametric MRI information
