ThuHF word recap Look at the powerpoint. For the last two days of term you are to design then

make your own board game! Think about games like monopoly or snakes and ladders. You have numbered squares and move along the track to get to the end first. Your design must be based on a garden… it could be Mr MacGregor’s garden with Peter Rabbit characters as your pieces. You could use the characters from yesterday’s picture. Think about using ‘peril’ squares where you must move back or ‘bonus’ squares where you can move forward. You could even design question cards where you need to answer questions to be able to get a free move. It’s up to you. Use card / pens / flaps / question cards etc and make your own figures out of card. Don’t forget you could write instructions too.

NC Year 1- Design and Create a board Game to play.

Can you play your board game? Does it work as well as you hoped? How could you improve it?

Design your board game – use labels to show different parts of the game.
