FADE INT. HOUSE – MORNINGWe are focused on a house in the country; we are panning closer and closer. It has a big front porch that wraps around the whole house. It has a huge front yard. The grass is a beautiful, bright green and the sun is shining brightly. We see a garage and sheds to the side.

INT. BEDROOM – MORNINGJAKE and MORGAN are standing in the room together hugging. MORGAN is crying softly; JAKE looks sad.

MORGAN, 17, high school senior, long blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes, tall, and thin. MORGAN is very pretty, cute and nice. JAKE, 17, high school senior, brown hair, brown eyes, tall, thin and cute.

MORGAN(sadly)

Why do you have to leave…?

MORGAN looks up at him. JAKE looks down at her with sad eyes.

JAKEBaby…I’m sorry…

MORGAN hugs him. JAKE hugs her and pets her head; tears come into his eyes.

SCREEN READS: ONE YEAR LATER

FADE INT. BEDROOM – MORNINGWe zoom to the clock next to the bed. It turns from 6:59 to 7:00 the alarm goes off. We see a hand enter the frame and hit the clock.

CAMERA: MOVES TO BEDWe see MORGAN moving around in her bed. She smiles and gets out of bed.

“GOLDEN YEARS” by DAVID BOWIE begins to play.

CAMERA ON: CLOSETMORGAN jumps out of the closet in underwear, tank top, and a cowboy hat. She’s dancing to the music.

MORGAN(singing)

Angel!

MORGAN laughs and smiles. She twirls around to her closet; she pulls out a pair of jeans and a T-shirt; still dancing.

“GOLDEN YEARS” fades out.

CUT TO: KITCHEN – MORNINGMORGAN enters the kitchen from the stairs.

MORGANHey sexy!

CAMERA ON: JESSJESS looks up at her and smiles.

JESS, MORGAN’S little sister, 9, shoulder length blonde hair, blue eyes, short and thin. JESS is a cutie and very nice like her sister.

JESSHey yourself.

MORGAN smiles and walks over to her. She hugs her and walks to the fridge.

MORGANWhere’s Mom and Dad?

JESSStore…we need some more seed.

MORGAN turns around. She looks confused.

MORGANWe’re out?

They both look at each other and smile.

JESSDaddy said he’ll get the shotgun out pretty soon.

They both laugh.

INT. BARN – DAYMORGAN is in the barn piling up hay; her Dad walks in the barn.

STEVEN, MORGAN’S DAD, late 40’s, brown hair, brown eyes, tall, and thin.

STEVENHey…

MORGAN looks up at him and smiles.MORGAN

Hey Dad. What’s up?

STEVENYou remember that uh…that Thompson boy…you and him were kind of sweet on each other remember?

MORGAN looks up confused. She throws another bail of hay onto the pile and turns around to face her dad.

MORGANWho?

STEVENYou know…Ed and Marie’s boy.

MORGAN(shocked)

Jake?

STEVENYeah that’s the one…

MORGANWhat about him?

STEVENThey moved back…

MORGAN stops her work and stares at him in shock.

MORGANWhat?

STEVENYeah…I just saw them in the store…

MORGAN is still staring at him.STEVEN

Jake doesn’t have a summer job so I thought he’d come here and work…you know let you go do what you want he’ll stay out here for the summer…now go get cleaned up…they’re coming out in a little bit.

STEVEN smiles and leaves.

CAMERA ON: MORGANMORGAN is in shock and looks mad. She takes off her gloves and throws them on the ground. She runs out of the barn.

INT. HOUSE – DAYMORGAN runs in through the back door. Her Mom is standing in the kitchen with a cake. She’s smiling and putting on the frosting.

AMY, early 40’s, short blonde hair, blue eyes, tall and thin.

MORGANTell me Dad is kidding!

AMY looks up at her confused.AMY

What are you talking about?

MORGANTell me Jake isn’t coming here!

AMYWell…

MORGAN looks really mad and yells.

MORGANWhy! Why does he have to come here! Are you punishing me for something?

AMYMorgan that’s enough! He’s coming here because we need help…besides I thought you two liked each other!

MORGAN looks upset and looks down.

MORGANYeah…that was until he left me…

MORGAN looks up at her quickly and walks out of the room. AMY looks after her in sadness.

INT. LIVING ROOM – LATER – DAYMORGAN walks down the stairs in a T-shirt and jeans. Her Mom walks in the room; she looks at her and shakes her head.

AMYNow couldn’t you have dressed up?

MORGAN gives her an evil look.AMY

Okay…come on they’re here. Try to look…happy…

Her Mom smiles at her and walks out. MORGAN looks mad.

AMY (O.S.)Marie!

MORGAN rolls her eyes.

INT. OUTSIDE – DAYAMY and STEVEN are talking with JAKE’S parents. They hug and laugh. MARIE late 40’s, brown hair, brown eyes, tall and thin. ED late 40’s, brown hair, brown eyes, tall and thin.

AMYYou look so different!

MARIE laughs.MARIE

EDSo…you still live here…

ED and STEVEN smile.STEVEN

Yep…couldn’t leave it.

CAMERA ON: MORGANMORGAN walks onto the porch with JESS. AMY looks up at them and smiles.

AMYOh Marie…look…Morgan and Jess!

MARIE looks up at them and smiles.MARIE

They’re beautiful! I see where they get their looks!AMY and MARIE laugh.

AMYCome on girls come down here!

MORGAN and JESS walk down toward them.

EDWe haven’t seen you two in ages!

MORGAN and JESS smile. MARIE and ED walk over to them and hug them.

AMYWhere’s Jake?

EDStill in the car probably.

ED turns around toward the car.ED(yelling)

Come on Jake…take off that headset and get out here!

ED turns back to them shaking his head.

EDKids…can’t get them away from those things!

JESS(confused)

ED and MARIE look at each other and then at JESS. They laugh.

MORGAN rolls her eyes.

CAMERA ON: CARThe door of the car opens. JAKE steps out of the car slowly in jeans and a T-shirt. He looks really cute. He looks up at them shyly.

JAKE, 17, high school senior, brown hair, brown eyes, tall, thin and very cute.

CAMERA ON: MORGANMORGAN looks mad but then her face softens. She looks surprised and looks at him.

JAKE walks over to them slowly with his hands in his pocket. He looks shy; everyone looks at him and smiles.

AMYJake!

AMY runs to him and hugs him. JAKE smiles at her and hugs him.

AMYYou look so different!

JAKE gives her a huge smile.JAKE

JAKE turns to STEVEN and opens his arms. STEVEN walks over and hugs him smiling.

STEVENHey Jake…nice seeing ya…

AMYSurely you remember Morgan…

JAKE turns toward MORGAN slowly looking somewhat scared. He gets his first glimpse of her and stares in shock. MORGAN looks angry again and crosses her arms. She gives him the “what” look. JAKE smiles at her.

JAKEMorgan?

MORGAN rolls her eyes at him very annoyed. JAKE smiles at her. He looks interested but MORGAN doesn’t.

MORGAN(mad)

Yeah…hi Jake…

AMYWell…aren’t you going to hug?

JAKE instantly moves toward her with his arms open and a huge smile. MORGAN looks disgusted and moves back away from him with her arms still crossed. A look of anger and annoyance comes across her face.

MORGAN(snotty)

I’d rather die first!

JAKE stops and stares at her in shock. MORGAN looks him over looking mad and walks away. JAKE stares after her in shock.

STEVENWell…let’s eat huh?

INT. OUTSIDE – LATER – DAYAMY, STEVEN, MARIE, and ED are sitting at the table outside on the patio talking and laughing. JAKE is sitting by himself. MORGAN and JESS come out of the house with lemonade. JAKE looks up at her; he gets up and walks to her. MORGAN is pouring lemonade; JAKE approaches her. JESS takes a glass and walks away. JAKE takes an empty glass from the table and stands next to her.

JAKEHi…

MORGAN takes his glass quickly and pours him some lemonade fast. She shoves it in his hand. She looks up at him angry and walks to JESS. She sits down by her and talks to her. We hear JESS giggling in the background. JAKE looks back at her upset; he sighs loudly.

INT. OUTSIDE – LATEREveryone is sitting at the table. The chair next to MORGAN is the only one left empty. JAKE smiles and sits down by her. MORGAN doesn’t look at him. JAKE looks at her. MARIE hands him his glass of lemonade; she’s talking to AMY. JAKE isn’t paying attention because he’s looking at MORGAN. MARIE lets go of the glass. It spills all over JAKE. JAKE jumps up.

JAKEShi…

JAKE looks up and sees everyone staring at him.

JAKE(continued)

MORGAN can’t hold in her laughter. JESS bursts out laughing. JAKE looks at her surprised.

STEVENMorgan…get Jake different clothes.

MORGAN stops laughing immediately and looks mad.

MORGANI think he can find his own…

STEVEN gives her an angry look. MORGAN rolls her eyes and gets up from the table fast. She walks to the house. JAKE follows her.

INT. HOUSE – DAYMORGAN comes in the door. It slams on JAKE; he looks shocked. He opens the door himself and comes in.

INT. HALLWAY – DAYMORGAN comes up the stairs and walks into the room in front of the stairs. JAKE comes up the stairs and stops at the top. A pair of jeans is thrown from the room. JAKE catches them. We hear the door slam. JAKE looks at the jeans then back up at the door.

INT. MORGAN’S ROOM – DAYWe are focused on the door. It opens slowly and JAKE comes in. He stops and stares. We revolve around him to see MORGAN’S room. JAKE walks to table by the bed. He looks at her CD player and pushes “Play.” “FAINT” by LINKIN PARK begins to play loudly. JAKE smiles. He’s about to turn away when something catches his eye. He turns back and bends down to the table. He moves a picture of JESS out of the way to reveal a picture of him and MORGAN together. They are hugging and smiling. JAKE looks confused but then smiles.

MORGAN (O.S.)What are you doing in my room?!

JAKE looks startled and stands up straight quickly; he turns around. MORGAN is standing behind him a ways; she looks mad.

JAKEUh…

MORGANGet out!

JAKE walks to the door; he turns around to face her from the doorway. MORGAN runs over and slams the door in his face.

INT. HALLWAY – DAYJAKE is standing in front of her doorway. He puts his arm on the wall and puts his head on his arm. The door opens again; JAKE jumps. MORGAN is staring at him; she pushes herself by him. JAKE turns and watches her leave. MORGAN is hurrying down the stairs.

JAKEYou liked me didn’t you?

MORGAN stops suddenly on the stairs.

CAMERA: REVOLVES AROUND TO SHOW HER FACEShe looks in shock. We see JAKE staring at her from behind. MORGAN begins down the stairs again and walks out of the frame. We focus on JAKE standing at the top of the stairs.

INT. OUTSIDE – DAYMORGAN walks out the back door. No one is in the back; MORGAN walks around the side of the house to the front. MARIE and ED are getting into their car. JAKE and her parents are waving “bye.” Their car drives away. JESS comes up behind MORGAN.

JESSI thought they’d never leave!

MORGAN looks down at her and smiles. She puts her arm around her and ruffles her hair. She looks back up. STEVEN, AMY and JAKE are walking toward them. JAKE is behind them walking slowly.

STEVENWell…now the real fun begins!

STEVEN and AMY walk by them smiling. STEVEN hits MORGAN’S arm softly and laughs. MORGAN looks at him annoyed. JAKE is walking toward her and JESS. MORGAN looks at him then bends down and picks up JESS in her arms. MORGAN looks at JAKE again and turns around. MORGAN walks away with JESS. JESS looks at JAKE sadly and waves. JAKE smiles a little and waves at her. MORGAN and JESS turn the corner. JAKE walks slowly. We are behind him.

MORGAN (O.S.)Hey…want to go swimming?

JAKE turns the corner. We see JESS sitting on MORGAN’S lap. JESS cheers.

JESSYeah!

MORGAN

Okay go get your suit on!

JESS smiles and looks at JAKE. She turns back to MORGAN.

JESSCan Jake come too?

MORGAN looks surprised and looks up at him. JAKE looks at her.

MORGANI…guess…

MORGAN looks up at him again.MORGAN

You want to?JAKE smiles.

JAKEI’d like that…the pond?

MORGAN smiles at him; JAKE smiles at her.

INT. OUTSIDE – LATERJESS runs out of the house in her swimsuit. MORGAN and JAKE come out after her in suits. MORGAN looks a little upset.

JAKEThanks for letting me come…

MORGANYeah…

They walk through the back yard and through a gate. It’s very pretty in the back; the grass is green and there are wild flowers everywhere. They continue to walk through the grass.

JAKESo…it’s been a while huh?

MORGANUh…yeah…

JAKEHow’ve you been?

MORGANExcept the fact that I have cancer I’m fine…

JAKE looks shocked and looks at her sadly.

JAKEWhat…?

MORGAN starts laughing really hard. JAKE is staring at her like she’s crazy.

MORGAN(laughing)

I’m sorry…I had to…JAKE laughs.

MORGANWow…anyways how about you?

MORGAN looks at him and smiles; JAKE smiles at her. MORGAN and JAKE walk out of the frame together.

“IN MY PLACE” by COLDPLAY begins to play.

INT. POND – DAYWe are focused on the pond. It is really pretty; the water is nice and clear. The grass is green and the sky is bright blue. MORGAN, JAKE, and JESS enter the frame.

JAKEWow…I remember I loved this place…we used to come here all the time when we were kids.

MORGAN smiles at him.MORGAN

Yeah…we used to race here every Sunday after church.

JAKE laughs; so does MORGAN.JAKE

I loved those days…when things didn’t seem to matter…MORGAN sighs.

MORGANYeah…a lot’s changed…

JAKE looks at her and smiles. MORGAN is looking out at the water. JAKE grabs her into his arms fast. MORGAN screams.

MORGANJake no!

JAKE laughs. MORGAN is in his arms. JAKE is running with her to the water; they fall in together. MORGAN and JAKE are laughing.

CUT TO: MORGAN and JAKE are splashing each other.CUT TO: MORGAN and JAKE are laughing and swimming around.CUT TO: MORGAN jumps into the water. JAKE pops out from the water and dunks her.CUT TO: MORGAN and JAKE come up from underwater together. They look at each other. JAKE leans in and kisses her.CUT TO: MORGAN and JAKE kissing we drift off into the sky.

“IN MY PLACE” fades out.

INT. HOUSE – DAYMORGAN is walking down the hallway dressed now. JESS comes running up the stairs.

JESSMorgan!

MORGAN turns around fast.MORGAN

JESS runs into her room. MORGAN looks confused.

INT. JESS’S ROOM – DAYJESS is looking out her window laughing. MORGAN walks over and looks out.

MORGANWhat?

JESSLook!

JESS points out the window. We revolve around MORGAN to show JAKE outside with STEVEN. STEVEN is showing him how to start the mower. STEVEN moves for JAKE. JAKE walks over to it. He bends down and gets the string to turn it on. He yanks it and yanks it but it won’t start. STEVEN shakes his head and walks away.

CAMERA ON: MORGANMORGAN laughs and shakes her head. She gets up and walks out of the room.

INT. OUTSIDE – DAYMORGAN walks out the front door. She walks down the steps and to the side of the house. JAKE is looking at the mower. He tries to get it started again but it won’t start. MORGAN laughs and walks toward him. JAKE looks up at her mad then smiles.

JAKEWhat are you laughing at?

MORGAN shakes her head. She stands in front of him. JAKE smiles at her.

JAKELet’s see you try…

MORGAN looks up at him smiling. She walks toward him and pushes him out of her way. She bends down and grabs the string. She gives it a hard yank. It starts right up. JAKE looks at her in disbelief. MORGAN smiles sweetly. JAKE is shocked. MORGAN lets go and it turns off. She turns and walks away. JAKE looks after her in shock. MORGAN turns the corner. JAKE turns back around to the mower. We see MORGAN peek her head around the corner fast to watch him. JAKE looks determined this time.

JAKEAll right…if she can do it…you can do it…don’t show her she’s better than you are.

JAKE bends down and grabs the string. He breathes out and yanks it. It doesn’t start. MORGAN bursts out laughing. She puts her hand over her mouth quickly. JAKE whips around and looks at her. She laughs and runs away. JAKE runs after her out of the frame.

INT. BACK YARD – DAYMORGAN is running; we see JAKE come from the side of the house running after her smiling.

JAKEI’m going to get you!

MORGAN screams and laughs. JAKE catches up to her and tackles her on the ground. JAKE falls on top of her. JAKE and MORGAN laugh. JAKE looks into MORGAN’S eyes. He bends down toward her for a kiss. MORGAN smiles and closes her eyes. JAKE kisses her softly. JAKE leans back and looks at her. They smile at each other and kiss again; they begin to make out.

STEVEN (O.S.)Jake!

JAKE and MORGAN stop kissing. He looks over to where STEVEN’S voice came from. He turns back down to MORGAN. MORGAN looks up set. JAKE gets up off of her quickly and helps her up. STEVEN comes around the side of the house.

STEVENWhat were you two doing?

MORGANNothing dad…

STEVEN smiles.STEVEN

Well…let’s go Jake…we’ve got a lot of work to do.

STEVEN smiles; he turns and walks away. JAKE turns around to MORGAN and smiles at her.

MORGAN smiles at him shyly.MORGAN

JAKE smiles at her then turns and walks away. MORGAN stops and looks after him. A big smile comes across her face.

INT. DINING ROOM – NIGHTEveryone is sitting at the table eating. JAKE walks in and looks at MORGAN. MORGAN looks up at him and smiles.

STEVENHow was your first day?

JAKEGreat…

STEVENYou’ll get used to it…you should be glad you had a good nights rest last night…because you’re getting up at five tomorrow.

JAKE looks shocked.JAKE

STEVENGotta get out there before it’s hot.

JAKE looks mad. MORGAN smiles. JAKE looks at her smiling.

MORGANNow I get to sleep in…

JAKE smiles at her. MORGAN looks up at him and smiles.

INT. JAKE’S ROOM – MORNINGJAKE is sleeping. It’s still dark out. The clock turns from 4:59 to 5:00. The alarm goes off. JAKE rolls around and hits the clock. He goes back under the covers. The door to his room bursts open. JAKE jumps up. MORGAN is standing in the doorway.

MORGANLet’s go!

JAKEWhat are you crazy it’s still dark out!

MORGANYeah…but it’s five o’clock buddy…let’s go!

MORGAN walks away, JAKE looks mad. He falls back in bed and closes his eyes. MORGAN comes back into the room with a glass of water. MORGAN smiles slyly. She throws the water on his face. JAKE instantly wakes up. He looks furious.

JAKEWhat is your…

MORGANYou! Get out of bed…or I’ll get the shotgun…

JAKE laughs.JAKE

Yeah…right…

JAKE laughs again and falls back onto the bed. MORGAN leaves the room smiling.

MORGANThat how we’re gunna play?

JAKE has his eyes closed again. The front of a shotgun comes into the frame we hear it cock. JAKE’S eyes fly open; he looks scared.

INT. BARN – DAYJAKE is in the barn stacking bails of hay.

CAMERA ON: MORGANMORGAN walks into the barn. JAKE looks up at her and smiles.

JAKEPretty good considering…wish I was with you though…

MORGAN smiles shyly and blushes. JAKE looks at her and smiles. He turns and throws a bail of hay onto the pile.

MORGANI’m uh…sorry I got out the gun…I didn’t know what else would work.

JAKE smiles and looks at her.JAKE

JAKE stops for a moment. He looks sad and upset. He turns to MORGAN slowly.

JAKE takes a bail of hay and throws it on the pile. MORGAN looks at him sadly; she turns and walks away. JAKE looks after her.

CAMERA: BEHIND JAKE - LATERWe are behind JAKE in the barn. He’s wiping off the mower. MORGAN walks out of the house and toward him. JAKE looks up at her.

MORGAN smiles at him; he smiles at her.

MORGANI’m uh…going to the store for some groceries…want to come?

MORGAN smiles at him. JAKE looks up at her and smiles.

CUT TO: CAR – DAYThe car drives past the camera in the country.

INT. CAR – DAYMORGAN is driving and JAKE is in the passenger’s seat. MORGAN smiles and pushes “Play” “HELPLESS” by D-GENERATION plays loudly. MORGAN smiles and bobs her head to the music. JAKE looks over at her and smiles. They both laugh.

INT. STREET – DAYMORGAN pulls up on the street and parks the truck. MORGAN smiles. JAKE and her get out. They walk down the sidewalk together.

JAKEYou like music like that?

MORGAN laughs and smiles.MORGAN

JAKEI didn’t think you…

JAKE turns to look at her smiling. MORGAN gives him an angry look.

JAKEI’m sorry.

INT. GROCERY STORE, AISLE – DAYMORGAN is in an aisle looking at canned foods. We see JAKE walk by the aisle then come back and walk to her. MORGAN grabs a can and shoves it at JAKE. JAKE takes it in surprise. MORGAN hands him another can. JAKE takes it. MORGAN walks away. JAKE stands there for a moment and looks down at the cans. He looks back up and walks out of the frame.

INT. GROCERY STORE, AISLE – DAYMORGAN is in the next aisle. JAKE walks to MORGAN.

JAKECan we talk?

MORGAN hands him a cereal box; he takes it. MORGAN walks away. JAKE follows.

JAKEMorgan…?

MORGAN is grabbing other things and handing them to him.

MORGANWhat?

JAKECan we talk?

MORGAN looks up at him. She stares at him. JAKE doesn’t say anything.

MORGANTalk!

JAKEHere?

MORGANUh…yeah.

JAKEThe super market?

MORGAN laughs and nods her head.MORGAN

JAKE looks confused. MORGAN rolls her eyes and walks to the next aisle. JAKE follows her.

MORGAN keeps on walking through the aisle not really paying attention.

JAKEYou know…we used to go together when we were younger…

MORGAN hands him something else. JAKE doesn’t take it. MORGAN turns around to face him. JAKE looks up at her.

JAKE rolls his eyes and takes it. MORGAN turns around.

CAMERA: IN FRONT OF MORGANMORGAN is facing the camera we see JAKE looking at her from behind. MORGAN is about to walk away.

JAKEI was wondering if you wanted to go with me…

MORGAN stops. She looks shocked. She turns slowly to face JAKE. JAKE is looking at her.

JAKEI thought it might be…fun.

INT. HOUSE – NIGHTJAKE is downstairs waiting. We see feet on the stairs and MORGAN enters the frame. JAKE gets up and walks to her.

JAKEYou look…amazing!

MORGAN smiles.MORGAN

Care to prove that?

MORGAN gives him a playful smile. JAKE smiles at her; they come together and kiss.

JESS (O.S.)Hey you two! None of that!

JAKE and MORGAN turn to look at JESS. They smile and laugh.

“ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?” by MICHELLE BRANCH is playing loudly.

INT. DANCE, OUTSIDE – NIGHTThe dance is outside in the street. There are lights, food, drinks and a lot of people.

CAMERA ON: MORGAN and JAKEJAKE and MORGAN walk into the frame. They are smiling and holding hands. They stop and look around.

JAKE

What do you want to do?

MORGANDance!

JAKE smiles at her. MORGAN looks at him and grabs a hold of his coat. She pulls him toward her; he smiles and puts his arms around her waist. They walk out of the frame together and out onto the street to dance.

CAMERA ON: MORGAN and JAKEMORGAN and JAKE are in the street dancing together closely. They are smiling at each other and looking into each other’s eyes.

ASHLEE (O.S.)Hey Morgan!

MORGAN and JAKE turn to reveal ASHLEE.

ASHLEE, 17, high school senior, long brown hair, brown eyes, tall and thin. ASHLEE is MORGAN’S best friend.

MORGANAshlee!

ASHLEE smiles and walks over to them. She looks shocked and surprised. She hugs MORGAN and turns to notice JAKE.

ASHLEEAnd who is this?

MORGAN smiles.MORGAN

Don’t you remember Jake?

ASHLEE looks shocked and then smiles.

ASHLEEJake! I haven’t seen you for ages!

ASHLEE jumps into his arms in a hug. JAKE smiles at her and hugs her back.

JAKEHey Ash.

ASHLEEGeez…how long has it been? When did you get back in town?

JAKEUh…two days ago?

ASHLEEMorgan been keeping you at her place?

ASHLEE smiles. MORGAN scoffs and hits her arm. ASHLEE looks in pain then smiles.

ASHLEEWell I’ve got to get back to my date…

(laughs)I’ll see you guys later!

(to MORGAN)Call me!

ASHLEE hugs MORGAN again and waves “bye” and walks away. JAKE looks back at MORGAN and smiles.

“COME AWAY WITH ME” by NORA JONES begins to play.

MORGAN throws her arms around him and they continue to dance again. JAKE looks at her and smiles. He puts his arms around her.

JAKEI have to tell you something…

MORGAN looks at him shocked and curious.

MORGANWhat?

JAKE looks into her eyes.JAKE

I’ve had a crush on you since the 1st grade…

MORGAN looks upset then her face softens and she smiles.

MORGANReally?

JAKEYeah…I’ve always wanted to tell you…but I never have and I…

MORGAN grabs JAKE’S face and pulls him toward her. They start to make out. They stop and look at each other.

JAKEWhat was that for?

MORGANI’ve had a crush on you forever! But I never thought you liked me…until now…

JAKEThere was never a doubt in my mind that I liked you…

They smile at each other.MORGAN

There was never any doubt with me either…

They smile at each other again and kiss. We drift up into the stars.

INT. STREET – NIGHTMORGAN is on JAKE’S back, he’s giving her a piggyback ride; they are both laughing and smiling. JAKE slows down to a walk.

JAKEUh…I’m tired!

MORGAN laughs and puts her arms around his neck tightly and leans down by him to rest her head on his shoulder. JAKE stops and lets her down. He brings her in front of him and puts her head in his hands. He smiles at her and looks into her eyes.

JAKEI love you Morgan…I always did…

MORGAN looks up at him with a huge smile. They kiss softly. MORGAN and JAKE look at each other and smile. JAKE throws her onto his back. MORGAN squeals. MORGAN puts her arms around his neck. They walk out of the frame together.

“SHOOT THE MOON” by NORA JONES begins to play.

INT. SERIES OF SHOTSMORGAN is on top of JAKE’S back laughing. JAKE is smiling. He spins her around on his back.CUT TO: MORGAN and JAKE walking down the street; they are holding hands and smiling at each other.CUT TO: MORGAN is in the barn by herself by the bails of hay. JAKE enters the frame running and body checks MORGAN onto the hay. MORGAN screams. JAKE is on top of her. He leans down and kisses her in the hay.CUT TO: MORGAN is walking through the back yard. JAKE comes running into the frame. MORGAN turns toward him and squeals. JAKE picks her up in his arms and lifts her up. MORGAN is smiling the whole time; so is JAKE. JAKE and MORGAN fall to the ground in the wildflowers. JAKE is on top of her. They smile at each other; JAKE bends down and kisses her. They continue to make out for a while. We focus on the flowers in front of them but we see their blurred images behind the flowers.CUT TO: MORGAN is raking leaves in the yard. Flower petals begin to fall from above. MORGAN looks around and confused. She looks up. JAKE is in the tree with a bunch of flower petals; they are falling around MORGAN. MORGAN smiles and closes her eyes. She dances around in the leaves with the flowers falling on her. JAKE comes down from the tree and puts his arms around MORGAN. MORGAN opens her eyes and look at him; she smiles. JAKE leans in and kisses her.

“SHOOT THE MOON” fades out.

INT. HOUSE, OUTSIDE - DAYMORGAN and JAKE come running out of the house; JAKE is chasing her; MORGAN screams. JAKE throws his arms around her. They smile at each other and kiss. We hear a car pull up in the driveway. MORGAN and JAKE stop kissing and look at the car.

CAMERA ON: CARThe door opens and PETE steps out looking shocked and hurt. He closes the door slowly.

PETE, 17, high school senior, shaggy brown hair, brown eyes, tall, thin and very very cute.

MORGAN looks at him shocked. She steps out of JAKE’S arms.

MORGANPete?

PETE doesn’t move.JAKE

Pete!

JAKE’S face lights up and he walks toward PETE.

JAKEPete…it’s me…Jake!

PETE looks at him shocked.PETE

Jake?!

PETE smiles. JAKE hugs him in a brotherly way; so does PETE.

PETEWow man…what are you doing here?

JAKEI’m working here this summer.

PETE looks at MORGAN.PETE

Really? That’s great! Man…it’s been a while huh?

JAKEYeah…I know…well man how are ya?

JAKE puts his arm around him.PETE

Oh…you know…okay.

JAKEThat’s good! Man I’ve missed you…

PETEYeah…me too. School hasn’t been the same without you…

JAKE and PETE walk out of the frame together talking. MORGAN looks upset. She looks up at them and walks out of the frame.

INT. HOUSE – DAYJAKE and PETE are sitting at the table talking together. MORGAN comes in the front door and looks up at them talking. PETE looks over at her; he looks upset and disappointed. MORGAN looks away from him and walks up the stairs. PETE looks back at JAKE and continues to talk to him.INT. MORGAN’S ROOM – DAYMORGAN comes into her door; she leans against it and looks sad. She walks over to the table beside the bed. She picks up the picture of her and JAKE. Then she picks up the one behind it; it’s a picture of her and PETE. They are hugging and smiling also. MORGAN looks from one to another. She puts them against her chest and looks up sadly. We hear a knock on the door. MORGAN looks at the door.

MORGANJust a second!

MORGAN quickly hides both of the pictures in her drawer. She walks to the door and opens it. JAKE is standing in the doorway.

JAKEHey…you okay?

MORGANYeah…I’m fine…

JAKEGreat…because we’re all going out for pizza.

MORGANWe?

JAKEYou, me…and Pete.

MORGAN looks upset.MORGAN

Pete’s coming?

JAKEWell yeah…I mean I haven’t seen him for how long.

MORGANYeah…I guess your right.

JAKE smiles at her and grabs her face. He kisses her; they smile at each other. JAKE turns around and holds out his hand. MORGAN smiles and takes it into hers. They walk down the stairs.

INT. LIVING ROOM – DAYPETE is sitting on the couch. MORGAN and JAKE walk down the stairs together. PETE looks up at them. We see their hands together. PETE looks hurt. We see MORGAN and JAKE fully now. MORGAN looks at PETE and can tell he’s hurt. She quickly takes her hand away from JAKE. JAKE looks back at her confused then smiles.

JAKEReady?

PETEOn second thought…I have some work to do at home…

JAKENo! Don’t go…please come on come with us.

PETE looks up at MORGAN.PETE

Fine…I’ll come…

MORGAN looks at him then quickly looks away. She walks past him to the door. PETE looks sad; he follows her.

INT. PIZZA PLACE – NIGHTMORGAN, JAKE and PETE are sitting in a booth. MORGAN and JAKE are sitting by each other; PETE is sitting across from them.

JAKEI have to go to the bathroom.

JAKE turns to MORGAN and smiles. He kisses her cheek; MORGAN looks up at PETE. PETE has turned his head away from them. JAKE smiles at them once again and leaves. MORGAN and PETE sit in silence.

MORGANPete…

PETE looks at her slowly; he looks hurt.

PETEDon’t…

MORGANI want to explain…

PETEYou don’t have to explain Morgan! I know okay…I know…

PETE looks away from her hurt. MORGAN looks at him sadly.

PETEI go away for a while and look what happens…

MORGANPete…

PETENo! Let me finish! We’re together before I leave…I come back and you’re with him?

PETE looks away from her and shakes his head in anger and disappointment. He turns back to look at her.

PETE

I’m not even gone a week…and this has already happened?

MORGANNo it didn’t just happen!

PETEWell when then? Huh? I want to know!

MORGANIt’s been going on for I don’t know how long.

PETEWhen we were going out!

MORGANNo Pete…listen to me will you!

PETE looks at her angry and silences himself; he’s listening. MORGAN looks up at him.

MORGANBefore he left…we liked each other…but we didn’t tell each other…and he finally told me how he felt…

PETESo you just forgot all about me…all that we had…

MORGANNo…but I’ve liked him since…since we were kids…

PETEOh yeah…well so have I…

MORGAN looks up at PETE is shock and surprise.

MORGANWhat?

PETEYeah…

MORGANPete I’m sorry…

PETEI never left you Morgan! He did…

MORGAN looks up at him. PETE looks at her with disappointment.

PETEI…I loved you Morgan…I always did…

MORGAN looks at him surprised.PETE

MORGAN pauses for a second and looks over at PETE.

MORGANYes.

PETE looks shocked and saddened. JAKE comes back to the table and sits down by MORGAN. MORGAN is looking at PETE with anger and hurt. PETE still looks at her shocked. JAKE leans over and kisses her cheek.

JAKEHey babe…

JAKE smiles and looks over at PETE who’s still staring at MORGAN.

JAKEIs something wrong?

PETE

Yeah…you…

PETE gets up from the table fast and walks out the door. JAKE looks confused and hurt. MORGAN is staring at the other side of the booth in shock. Tears form in the corners of her eyes. JAKE turns to her.

JAKEWhat was that all about?

MORGAN looks up at him quickly then down at the table.

MORGANNothing…let’s go…

MORGAN gets up from the table; so does JAKE. MORGAN walks out; JAKE stares after her for a second then follows her.

INT. STREET, OUTSIDE – NIGHTMORGAN is walking down the street. JAKE comes running out of the Pizza Place; he’s getting his coat on as he runs. He catches up to her and grabs her arm, stopping her. MORGAN looks up at him in sadness. JAKE looks at her confused.

JAKEWhere you…with Pete?

MORGAN looks up at him.MORGAN

Yes…JAKE looks sad.

JAKE(slowly)

Do you…want him back?

MORGAN looks into his eyes. JAKE looks down into hers. MORGAN looks at him for a moment then looks down and shakes her head.

MORGANI…I don’t know…

JAKEHow could you not know…I mean it’s either him or me…and to tell you the truth I don’t want to lose you…not again…

JAKE takes a step closer to her. He puts her face into his hands and tilts her head toward his.

JAKEI love you Morgan…

MORGAN looks up into his eyes that are filled with tears; she looks at his lips, which are coming closer to hers. She closes her eyes and lets JAKE kiss her. They continue to kiss softly.

CAMERA ON: PETEPETE is standing across the street with tears in his eyes. We revolve around him to show MORGAN and JAKE kissing.

CAMERA ON: MORGAN AND JAKEMORGAN and JAKE stop kissing. MORGAN looks up into his eyes; she gives him a slight smile.

MORGANI lo…

PETE runs into the frame and tackles JAKE to the ground. MORGAN is in horror; she screams. PETE is on top of JAKE punching him.

PETEStay away from her Jake!

PETE punches him. MORGAN runs over and pulls PETE off of him. JAKE is lying on the ground bleeding. MORGAN looks shocked.

MORGANWhat is the matter with you Pete…leave him alone!

PETE looks at her in shock. MORGAN bends down to JAKE and touches his face gently.

MORGANAre you okay?

JAKE nods his head. MORGAN helps him to his feet. PETE is still standing there looking at them. JAKE is on his feet and faces PETE.

JAKEPete what are you doing? I thought we were best friends.

PETEYeah…until you messed with Morgan…

JAKEWhat are you talking about?

PETEWhy Jake…why did you have to come back…she was finally getting over it…

JAKE looks confused.JAKE

Getting over what?

PETEYou! All she could think about was you…when you were going to come back…if you’d ever call…if you’d ever come visit…but did you? NO! You left her here waiting for you!

MORGAN gets tears in her eyes; they fall slowly. She looks sad and depressed. JAKE looks shocked; he turns to her slowly.

JAKEIs that true?

MORGAN looks up at him slowly and nods her head.

MORGANYes…

JAKE looks sad. He walks to her and puts his arms around her. MORGAN goes into them and cries.

JAKEBaby…I’m so sorry…

PETE shakes his head and walks away.

JAKEPete!

PETE doesn’t stop he continues to walk. MORGAN cries harder. JAKE is holding her tightly in his arms.

FADE INT. HOUSE – DAYMORGAN is sleeping. The sun is shining brightly through her open windows. She rolls around in bed and sits up; she stops and stares.

We pull back to reveal her room filled with dozens of wildflowers. MORGAN smiles and gets out of bed. She walks to the flowers and takes the card that’s in them. MORGAN opens it up and rose petals fall to the floor.

MORGAN(reading)

For every time I thought about you…in the last hour…love, Jake.

MORGAN smiles and looks around her room. The phone rings. MORGAN runs to her phone and answers it.

MORGANHello?

JAKE (on phone)Hey beautiful…

MORGAN smiles.MORGAN

Hi…whatcha doin’?

JAKE (on phone)Nothing…I was just wondering if you’d come out to the barn…I’ll be waiting…

We hear the phone click off. MORGAN smiles and clicks off the phone.

INT. BARN – DAYMORGAN walks out of the house and to the barn. The doors to the barn are closed. MORGAN walks to them and opens them up.

INT. INSIDE BARN – DAYMORGAN walks in. The whole place is dark and you can’t see anything. MORGAN looks confused.

MORGANJake?

The lights flick on revealing the whole barn covered in wildflowers and roses. MORGAN is in total shock. She smiles. The floor of the barn is completely spotless and the horses have flowers on them. MORGAN walks further into the barn.

“GREEN EYES” by COLDPLAY begins to play loudly inside the barn.

MORGAN looks in shock again and smiles. JAKE appears in the middle of the barn behind her.

JAKEHi beautiful.

MORGAN whips around and runs into his arms.

MORGANJake it’s so beautiful!

JAKEYeah…kinda like you…

MORGAN smiles at him; JAKE smiles at her. JAKE takes her hand in his and they begin to dance.

INT. SERIES OF SHOTS

MORGAN and JAKE are dancing together smiling.

MORGAN and JAKE are dancing; JAKE pretends to fall on her. MORGAN laughs; so does JAKE.

MORGAN and JAKE are dancing closely.

MORGAN and JAKE are dancing. JAKE steps on her foot; MORGAN pretends to be hurt. JAKE tries to help her. MORGAN smiles and runs away. JAKE looks smiles in a shocked way; he turns around and runs after her. MORGAN screams; JAKE grabs her and spins her around in his arms. JAKE and MORGAN are smiling at each other and laughing.

MORGAN and JAKE land in the hay and kiss. MORGAN grabs some hay and rubs it into his hair. JAKE laughs and breaks off the kiss. MORGAN smiles; JAKE takes hay and puts some in her hair. MORGAN laughs and runs away. She grabs some hay and throws it at him. JAKE smiles and takes some also and throws it at her. JAKE comes toward her and grabs her in his arms and kisses her while hay is falling from the air around them. They kiss again.

“GREEN EYES” fades out.

INT. HOUSE – LATER – DAYJESS is sitting on the couch. MORGAN and JAKE come into the room laughing. JESS looks at them and smiles.

JESSHi guys!

JAKEHey Jess…

JESS smiles at them.JESS

You two are inseparable…

MORGANYou don’t even know what that word means!

JESSI know…but mommy and daddy say that’s what you are…

JAKE and MORGAN look at each other and smile.

INT. OUTSIDE – LATERMORGAN and JAKE are sitting in the wildflowers together looking up at the clouds.

MORGANSo…what do you want to do?

JAKEI don’t know…

JAKE tickles her; MORGAN laughs. JAKE stops and laughs; they sit back down on the ground.

MORGANLet’s go horseback riding.

JAKEUh…I can’t…

MORGANWhy not?

JAKEI can’t ride…

MORGAN laughs and rolls over on top of him.

MORGANCome on…I’ll teach you…

MORGAN gets up and takes his hand. She pulls him up; he puts his arms around her waist. They walk out of the frame together.

INT. BARN – DAYMORGAN is standing next to JAKE and a horse. JAKE looks scared; MORGAN looks at him and laughs.

MORGANIt’s just a horse Jake.

JAKE looks at her. MORGAN looks at him and smiles.

MORGANOkay…get on.

JAKEUh…how do I do that?

MORGAN rolls her eyes and laughs. She points the little ladder. JAKE looks at it and smiles. JAKE steps on it and gets on the horse.

MORGANSee…easy.

MORGAN smiles and walks away. JAKE looks at the horse and smiles. JAKE looks around and looks scared.

JAKEMorgan? Morgan!

MORGAN comes out on a horse full speed. She zooms by JAKE.

MORGANCome on!

MORGAN leaves the barn on the horse. JAKE looks scared.

JAKECrap…go horsy.

INT. OUTSIDE – DAYJAKE comes out of the barn; the horse is running full speed; JAKE is screaming for his life. MORGAN is sitting on her horse; she sees him and her eyes widen. She bursts out laughing. JAKE goes past her.

JAKE(yelling)

Help me!

MORGAN laughs and puts her fingers in her mouth and whistles. The horse immediately stops; JAKE goes flying off.

CAMERA ON: MORGANMORGAN looks scared. We hear a bang and a loud shriek. MORGAN looks disgusted and shocked. She jumps off of her horse and runs to JAKE. JAKE is on the ground in pain. MORGAN reaches him and bends down to him.

MORGANAre you okay?

JAKE looks up at her and smiles.

JAKENever better! Can we do that again?

MORGANI think the fall gave you brain damage.

JAKE grimaces in pain and grabs his back. MORGAN looks upset and looks at him.

JAKEI’m fine…really…

MORGANOkay…want to go again?

JAKE looks up at her in a “No!” look. MORGAN laughs and helps him up. JAKE screams. MORGAN laughs and hits his back.

MORGANWalk it off.

MORGAN walks out of the frame. JAKE looks at her like she’s crazy. MORGAN gets back on the horse.

MORGANReady?

JAKE gives her an evil look. MORGAN laughs.

MORGANHow ‘bout we ride on the same one?

JAKEI like that idea.

They smile at each other. JAKE walks over and gets on the horse.

MORGANHold on tightly!

JAKE smiles and wraps his arms around her. MORGAN smiles and hits the horse. It begins to walk. MORGAN hits it again and it runs. JAKE screams again. MORGAN laughs. They run out of the frame. We hear JAKE screaming.

INT. SERIES OF SHOTS

MORGAN and JAKE enter the frame. The horse is running fast; JAKE is screaming; MORGAN is laughing.

MORGAN and JAKE are on the horse going slow. JAKE has his arms around her tightly.

MORGAN and JAKE are on the horse. MORGAN smiles and takes off her cowboy hat and puts it on JAKE. MORGAN looks at him and smiles. JAKE laughs and leans forward and kisses her.

MORGAN and JAKE are walking. JAKE is holding the horse’s rope in his hand. The other hand is holding MORGAN’S hand.

JAKESo…

MORGAN looks at him and smiles. JAKE is looking at the ground.

MORGAN

What?

JAKEDo you love me?

MORGAN looks shocked and stops walking. JAKE stops abruptly and turns toward her. MORGAN looks at him.

JAKEWell…

MORGAN smiles at him; she walks toward him slowly. She puts her arms around his neck and smiles. She looks into his eyes.

MORGANYes…I love you…

JAKE gives her a huge smile; MORGAN smiles at him. They kiss. MORGAN begins to laugh; she breaks away from JAKE laughing.

JAKEWhat?

MORGAN smiles really big at him.MORGAN

MORGAN spins around in the grass smiling. JAKE watches her smiling.

MORGAN(yelling)

I love this man!

JAKE looks like he can’t get enough of her. He rushes toward her and grabs her arm; he spins her around to him and pulls her in quick and kisses her. MORGAN moves her hands to his face; they make out. MORGAN pushes him away laughing and turns around quickly. MORGAN’S laugher and smile fades. She stops suddenly and looks in shock. JAKE looks up and looks shocked too.

CAMERA ON: PETEPETE is standing in front of them looking really hurt. Tears are forming in his eyes. He looks shocked.MORGAN and JAKE look equally shocked.

MORGANPete…?

PETE looks up at her slowly and sadly. He turns to walk away; MORGAN runs to him quickly and stops him. PETE whips around to face her; tears are now falling from his eyes. MORGAN looks at him hurt. JAKE is behind her and looks sad too.

PETESo that’s it huh? That’s it for us…?

PETE shakes his head and looks away from her. He turns back and looks at her.

PETEI loved you Morgan…I always have…I always will…I just want you to know that…

MORGAN looks up at him sadly. PETE looks at her one last time; he turns and walks away. MORGAN looks after him slowly.

MORGANPete!

PETE continues to walk away. MORGAN turns to JAKE quickly.

MORGANI’ll be right back…I just need to explain to him…

JAKE nods. MORGAN looks at him again; he leans forward and kisses her. MORGAN looks at him one last time and runs out of the frame. JAKE looks after her upset and disappointed. JAKE looks down then up again and walks out of the frame.

INT. BACK YARD – DAYPETE is walking through the grass fast; he’s still crying. MORGAN enters the frame a ways in the distance; she’s running.

MORGANPete!

PETE keeps walking. MORGAN runs through the gate and reaches him. She grabs his shoulder and pulls him to stop. PETE shrugs her off and continues to walk. MORGAN runs after him and stands in front of him. PETE stops and looks at her annoyed and mad.

PETEWhat?

MORGANWe need to talk…

PETEI think we already did…

MORGANNo Pete…we didn’t…

PETEFine…what?

MORGANI want to explain to you…

PETEI already know Morgan all right…I see you with him…I know you’re together! You don’t have to explain…believe me…I understand…you left me like he left you…

PETE looks at her with anger. MORGAN looks up at him sadly. PETE can’t take it; he walks around her and leaves.

INT. DRIVEWAY – DAYPETE comes around the corner of the house. MORGAN runs after him.

MORGANPete wait!

PETE whips around to face her. PETE grabs her waist and pulls her to him quickly. He kisses her. MORGAN tries to get him to stop but PETE holds onto her firmly and doesn’t let her go. They continue to kiss. PETE pulls her away from him still holding her arms.

PETETell me you didn’t feel anything! Tell me you don’t love me!

MORGAN looks up into his eyes and looks serious. PETE looks into her eyes desperately.

MORGAN(seriously)

I don’t love you…

PETE looks into her eyes shocked. He lets go of her and gets into his truck. He starts it and speeds off. MORGAN is left there by herself; we see tears form into her eyes. MORGAN looks sad; she falls to the ground and cries. She looks up to the road and cries harder. We drift up from MORGAN. We see JAKE enter the frame and run to her. He bends down and tries to comfort her. MORGAN hits his hands out of the way and gets up quickly; she walks to the house. JAKE turns around to look at her. We drift up into the leaves.

INT. JAKE’S ROOM – DAYWe are focused on the door to Jake’s room. It opens and MORGAN is standing in the doorway. She looks up at him.

MORGANWe need to talk…

FADE INT. HOUSE, OUTSIDE – DAYWe are focused on a house in the country. It’s big and old-fashioned looking. We see a truck in the driveway.

INT. BEDROOM – DAYWe enter a bedroom. We pan around to the bed. We see someone sleeping in it. We hear the doorbell; the figure moves around and sits up to reveal: PETE. PETE looks tired; he sits up. We hear the doorbell again. PETE looks out the window. We see a car in front of the house. PETE yawns and scratches his head. He looks toward his door.

INT. HALL, DOWNSTAIRS – DAYThe doorbell rings again. PETE runs down the stairs to the door.

PETE

I’m coming!

We are behind PETE. He opens the door slowly.

CAMERA ON: PETE’S FACEPETE looks in shock and surprised.

CAMERA ON: MORGANMORGAN is standing in the doorway looking at him.

PETE doesn’t get to finish because MORGAN jumps into his arms and kisses him.

MORGAN grabs him and kisses him again. After a little bit MORGAN leans back and opens her eyes. She smiles at him.

MORGANPete…I did feel something…I’ve always felt it…

PETE looks at her confused.PETE

PETE looks at her shocked. MORGAN is smiling the whole time.

ASHLEE walks into the room in a T-shirt and underwear.

ASHLEE looks up and sees MORGAN and looks shocked.

MORGAN looks shocked and hurt; she’s speechless.

MORGANAsh…what are…what are you doing here…?

ASHLEE looks down at what she’s wearing and looks up at MORGAN shocked.

ASHLEEWell…uh…it’s not how it looks Morgan…

MORGAN gets tears in her eyes and looks away from her. She looks back; a tear falls.

MORGANReally? Then how should it look Ashlee?

ASHLEE looks embarrassed. MORGAN turns to PETE. PETE doesn’t look at her. MORGAN shakes her head in anger; she slaps him.

MORGANYou…

MORGAN shakes her head and walks out the door. PETE looks back at her; then at ASHLEE.

INT. OUTSIDE – DAYMORGAN is walking out of the house with tears in her eyes. PETE runs after her.

PETE

Morgan wait!

MORGAN whips around to face him; he’s standing right behind her.

MORGAN(yelling)

You know I don’t know what’s worse…making me feel sorry for you because I was with another guy…or finding out the person you loved is screwing your best friend.

PETE looks at her sadly. MORGAN looks at him; she turns toward the car and opens the door. She slams the door and turns around to him looking furious. PETE looks up at her.

MORGANWhy…why Pete…I really want to know!

PETEWhy what Morgan?

MORGAN looks at him in anger.MORGAN

Why did you tell me you loved me if you were with Ashlee? Why did you…ahh…why did you do this? I just lost the man of my dreams over you…and you don’t even love me do you? You are so full of shi…

PETEMaybe I did love you Morgan…maybe I cared about you more than Jake ever did…

MORGAN looks at him and shakes her head in anger.

MORGANNo…he did care…you didn’t…

MORGAN gets into her car and speeds away. PETE shakes his head in anger and yells. ASHLEE is standing in the doorway.

ASHLEEHoney what are

PETE looks back at her in annoyance. PETE turns back and looks angry.

INT. HOUSE – DAYMORGAN runs into the house. She runs up the stairs.

INT. JAKE’S ROOM – DAYMORGAN bursts into the room. She stops and stares at the room. We revolve around her to show that the room is empty. JAKE’S things are no longer there. MORGAN looks around in disappointment. She sits down slowly on the bed; tears come to her eyes.

FADE OUT

“8 BALL” by UNDERWORLD begins to play.

FADE INT. STREET – DAYWe are focused on the street. MORGAN walks into the frame talking on a cell phone. She looks older now but still pretty.

MORGAN(laughs)

I know…yeah…

CAMERA ON: MAN WALKINGA MAN is walking toward her. We focus and realize its JAKE. JAKE looks older now too but still very cute.

MORGANOkay…love you too mom…

(smiles)Bye…

MORGAN clicks off her cell phone and looks down at her bag. She runs into someone.

MORGANI’m so sorry…

MORGAN looks up and stares.

CAMERA ON: JAKEJAKE looks at her and stares.

JAKENo problem…

JAKE and MORGAN’S eyes meet in a gaze.

JAKE/MORGANDo I know you from somewhere?

They both laugh and smile. JAKE extends his hand out.

JAKEJake Thompson…

MORGAN looks shocked. She looks at him in surprise and smiles.
