everydayhero is a peer-to-peer online giving solution that allows your organization to build online fundraisingcampaigns as part of their existing websites or as a stand-alone fundraising site.With the everydayhero plug-in in The Raiser’s Edge, you can import constituent and gift information fromeverydayhero to update your database in The Raiser's Edge. Constituent records are updated with theinformation that comes from everydayhero, and new records are created if necessary. When you import giftsfrom everydayhero, you can create static queries of the records imported.
Before You Begin (Prerequisites to Installation)To run the everydayhero integration, your computer needs:
l The Raiser's Edge 7.93 or above.
l Windows user rights to install software.

Install the everydayhero IntegrationNote: If Blackbaud hosts your database in The Raiser's Edge, the everydayhero integration shouldautomatically be installed for you. If it is not installed, contact your Blackbaud representative.
From a Raiser's Edge client machine:
1. Log completely out of The Raiser's Edge.
2. Locate and double-click the everydayhero EdhIntegrationSetup.msi file. TheWelcome screen appears forthe Raiser's Edge and everydayhero Integration Setup Wizard.
Note: If the installation program does not start, you may needWindows administrator rights to installsoftware on your computer. Contact your IT department for help.
3. Click Next. The application installs automatically to The Raiser's Edge 7 plug-ins folder.
4. Click Finish to close the setup wizard.
Access the everydayhero IntegrationAfter you install the integration files, you can access the everydayhero plug-in from The Raiser's Edge.From the navigation bar in The Raiser's Edge, click Plug-Ins. The Plug-Ins page appears. Click everydayheroIntegration to access the everydayhero Integration page where you can import data files into The Raiser's Edge.
Sign Up for everydayheroBefore you can begin to transfer information from everydayhero into The Raiser's Edge, you must sign up witheverydayhero. When you sign up with everydayhero, you receive a Raiser's Edge API key. The API key establishesa connection you that you can receive data files to import into The Raiser's Edge.

1. From The Raiser's Edge home page, click Plug-Ins. The Plug-Ins page appears.
2. On the Plug-Ins page, click everydayhero Integration. The everydayhero Integration page appears.

3. Click Find out more. The everydayhero home page opens in your browser.
4. Click join for free. The sign up page appears.
5. Fill in the form with your organization's information, and click SIGN UP.

Configure The Raiser's Edge for everydayheroIntegrationBefore you begin to share information between everydayhero and your database in The Raiser's Edge, reviewthe default options for handling imported information to ensure those settings align with your businessprocesses. For example, from the everydayhero Integration Settings screen, you can select default sets to use fornew individuals and gifts added through everydayhero, select whether Heroes should bemarked as canvassersin The Raiser's Edge, and you can set criteria for matching constituents from everydayhero with constituentsthat already exist in The Raiser's Edge. On this screen, you must also establish a connection betweenThe Raiser's Edge and everydayhero in order to retrieve the files to import.
} Configure everydayhero Integration Settings
1. From The Raiser's Edge home page, click Plug-Ins. The Plug-Ins page appears.
2. On the Plug-Ins page, click everydayhero Integration. The everydayhero Integration page appears.
3. Click Settings. The everydayhero Integration Settings screen appears.
4. Under Settings, click General.

5. Under Constituent matching, select the fields to match everydayhero records to existing constituents inThe Raiser's Edge. You can also select to create a new record in The Raiser's Edge if the constituentdownloaded from everydayhero has no exact matches.
When constituents from everydayhero are downloaded, The Raiser's Edge uses this criteria to identifymatches before a new constituent record is created. If a match is found, the program assigns theincoming donations to the existing constituent. If the incoming constituent matches but has newinformation, such as a new address, email address, or phone number, The Raiser's Edge adds thatinformation to the existing constituent record.
6. Under Defaults for new addresses, select the default address, phone, and email types to apply to allnew addresses and phone numbers downloaded from everydayhero into The Raiser's Edge.
7. Click Queries.

8. To create queries that include the constituents and gifts imported from everydayhero, select thecheckboxes under Create static queries during import for.
9. Click Heroes.

10. Select an existing default set of information or create a new set to apply to constituent records createdfrom Heroes when information is downloaded from everydayhero into The Raiser's Edge. You canchoose whether to mark Heroes as Solicitors in The Raiser's Edge. If you select this option, the Is asolicitor checkbox on the constituent record is automatically selected when the record is created.
Tip: You can apply the same defaults as those used for constituents entered directly into The Raiser'sEdge or you can create a different set for constituents added online. If a field in the default set is alsoincluded in the import file, the value from the import file is used.
11. Click Donors.

12. Constituent records are created for all everydayhero donors who donate to support a Hero. You canapply a default set of information to new individuals created when gifts are imported into The Raiser'sEdge.
13. Select the solicit code that should be added to the donor's constituent record when they select that theydo not want to receive further communication when they make their donation through everydayhero.
14. Click Donations.

15. To import gifts, you must select a default set that includes a fund.
16. Click Login.

17. Enter your everydayhero Raiser's Edge access key to establish a connection to everydayhero to retrievedata files to import. Your access key is available on the Raiser’s Edge Integration page in everydayhero.
18. Click Save. You return to the everydayhero Integration page.
Import Data from everydayhero into TheRaiser's EdgeFrom The everydayhero Integration page in The Raiser's Edge, you can import constituent and gift informationfrom everydayhero.When you import information from everydayhero into The Raiser's Edge, you import a Comma Separated Value(CSV) file that contains gift and constituent information. Records in The Raiser's Edge are updated with thatinformation or new records are created if necessary.
} Import Data from everydayhero into The Raiser's Edge
1. From the navigation bar in The Raiser's Edge, click Plug-ins. The Plug-Ins page appears.
2. Click everydayhero Integration. The everydayhero Integration page appears.

3. Click Import. The everydayhero Integration Import page appears.
4. Click Download from everydayhero. A confirmation message appears.
5. To download new data files from everydayhero into The Raiser's Edge automatically, click Yes. Or, toview each individual file that is available for download, click Show files.
If you clicked Show files, the Download Files screen appears with data files from everydayhero listedchronologically.
6. In theNew files grid, select the files to download and click Download. You return to the everydayheroIntegration Import page and the downloaded data files appear under Files ready to import.

7. Click Import next to the everydayhero data file you want to import into The Raiser's Edge.
If you selected to create a static query of your constituents or gifts on the everydayhero IntegrationSettings screen, the Save Static Query screen appears. Configure your query and click Save.
The import process begins. When complete, a status page appears. This page includes details about theimport including the total number of records processed and the number of constituents and gifts added.
If there were exceptions, the page also includes the total number of exceptions and the exception filename. For more information about exceptions, see Handle Import Exceptions on page 13.

Summary information about the import is saved to a text file you can use as a record of the process. Thefile names for summary and exception files are the import's file name appended with "_summary" or "_exception."
If you have The Raiser's Edge installed on-site, you can access saved summary and exception files fromthe everydayhero Integration Import page. You can click History to view the summary and exceptionfiles, or click Edit in the corresponding file row.
8. Click OK. You return to the everydayhero Integration page.
Handle Import ExceptionsIf errors occur during the import process, the status page includes the number of exceptions and the file namefor the generated exception file. The exception file is a comma separated value (CSV) file with the same columnheaders as the import file, with the addition of the Exception column. The Exception column indicates the reasonfor the exception, such as a missing required field or invalid code table entry.To address exceptions, open the CSV file inMicrosoft Excel. Correct each exception and save the file. From theeverydayhero Integration Import page, click Import to reimport the updated file.
Attributes Added in The Raiser's EdgeAttributes are added automatically to gifts and constituents imported from everydayhero.Gift attributes include:
