Convenient public transport is an important part of the sustainability strategy Berkeley has put in place for Kidbrooke Village. Connections by train and bus are a key element of this.
Trains leave from Kidbrooke station for London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross and Victoria, connecting with the London Underground at these mainline stations. Trains also connect to Lewisham providing links to the DLR to Greenwich, Canary Wharf and Stratford.
Regular bus service provide connections for onward travel across London and for people who prefer to travel under their own steam, there are safe pedestrian and cycle routes running through and from Kidbrooke Village.

Part of London’snewest Royal BoroughA World Heritage Site and from 2012 London’s fourth Royal Borough, Greenwich draws visitors from around the world with the Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park, National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark and the Meridian Line.
Greenwich was designated a Royal Borough in 2012 to mark Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, in recognition of its historic royal links; its significance as the home of the Prime Meridian; and as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Greenwich also played a prominent role in the London 2012 Olympics, which have left an important legacy for the area in terms of opportunities, investment and as a draw for visitors.
Kidbrooke Village is an integral part of the newest Royal Borough and enjoys all the benefits of this culturally rich area. These include beautiful
Greenwich Park with its world famous historic buildings, such as the Royal Observatory and the Old Royal Naval College; the lively town centre; and Maritime Greenwich whose centrepiece is the iconic Cutty Sark. The University of Greenwich brings further glory to the borough: it has been rated first in London for teaching excellence.
Greenwich Peninsula is also coming into its own. The O2 has been voted the world’s most popular music venue for five consecutive years, and is now excitingly connected to London north of the river by London Transport’s Emirates Air Line.

So much to offer in GreenwichGreenwich town centre is an excellent choice for shopping and social life, with something to suit everyone. Many of the high street brands as well as smaller independent boutiques can be found there, and Greenwich Market attracts thousands with its colourful mix of fresh produce, collectables, crafts, antiques and unique fashion.
There’s a cinema there too, and Greenwich Theatre has a strong reputation as one of London’s leading
off-West End venues. When you’re in the mood for culture, Greenwich’s wonderful museums and architectural treasures never fail to enthral.
The restaurants and pubs of Greenwich encompass all tastes, types and price levels, and many have the additional benefit of being located in historic buildings or offering scenic views over the park or the river. Eating out in Greenwich really offers the best of everything.

Quality is at the heart of everything we do
At Berkeley, quality takes precedence, from choosing
the right location and style of home, to the construction
processes we practice, the materials we use and the
specifications we put into our homes. For extra peace of
mind, in addition to the 10 year warranty all new homes
receive, Berkeley operates a 2 year policy with dedicated
Customer Service teams on hand 24 hours a day to deal
with enquiries quickly and effectively.
Unparalleled choice of homes in the most sought
after locations
As one of the UK’s leading house builders, we are able to
offer our customers an unrivalled choice of property location,
size and type. From city penthouses to country retreats,
modern studio apartments to traditional family homes,
you’ll find the perfect home to match your requirements.
Our homes are also built in some of Britain’s most desirable
locations from market towns and rural villages to major towns
and cities, and countryside to the coast – we build in the
locations you want to live.
A commitment to creating sustainable communities
Berkeley’s homes and developments are not just built for
today, but are designed as permanent enhancements to
the neighbourhoods they are located in. We achieve this
through our commitment to excellence in design, sensitive
landscaping, sympathetic restoration, and impeccable
standards in sustainability, addressing the needs not only
of our customers but their neighbours, and the broader
community they are part of. It is a long-term view; we want
to create exceptional places for people to live, work and
relax in, and promote community cohesion for today and
the years to come.
Award winning and Royally recognised
In addition to receiving numerous awards for quality, design
and customer service, the Berkeley Group was granted
the 2008 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable
Development and in 2011 they won Britains Most Admired
Company award. These prestigious awards recognise and
reward outstanding achievements in business performance.
Customer service is our priority
We place the highest priority on customer service and will
manage the whole moving process for you. Our Customer
Care Teams will contact you shortly after you complete, to
ensure that everything in your new home is absolutely to your
liking. Our homes also benefit from a ten year warranty, the
first two years of which are covered by Berkeley.
When you buy a new home from Berkeley, you can be safe in
the knowledge that it is built to a very high standard of design
and quality, has low environmental impact and that you will
enjoy an exceptional customer experience.
Green living and sustainable development
is top of our agenda
As a company, we are committed to reducing energy, water
and waste on our construction sites, in our offices and in the
homes that we build. Almost all of our developments are built
on brownfield land and we always take care to protect and
enhance biodiversity and natural habitats. Our homes include
features to encourage sustainable living such as dual-flush
WCs, recycling bins and energy efficient white goods.
Buying a home is one of the most important decisions
you will ever make. The qualities that make the
Berkeley Group different mean that you can choose

– The Code for Sustainable Homes considers the effects on the environment caused by the development and occupation of a home. To achieve a star rating, a home must perform better than a new home built to the minimum legal standards, and much better than an average existing home
their use of energy, with features including:
– Energy efficient lighting
– Energy efficient white goods (where supplied)
– High levels of thermal insulation
they have lower carbon dioxide emissions and therefore a lower impact on climate change than the average household in the UK
renewable energy sources including biomass boilers and solar thermal panels1
in the homes are selected to make sure that they use less water than the average UK home
flooding and enables the development to cope with anticipated changes in climate. This is through the use of sustainable urban drainage system (SUDS) features including:
– Ponds
– Living (green and brown) roofs
– Permeable paving
that less waste from the home will go directly to landfill and will instead be recycled
reduce their carbon dioxide emissions related to travel through the:
– Provision of secure cycle storage to each dwelling
– Close proximity of the development to public transport nodes
